PETA wants US soldiers to die so pigs can live

  • ramiro, on 07/18/2008, -1/+9I am not sure about this article being true. This AP item looks like it was taken straight from a PETA propaganda leaflet.
    The idea of teaching critical wound care with live anesthetized pigs is not very believable.

    PETA should move to some middle eastern country where they don't eat pork but blow up their fellow citizens in the streets. They practice blood sacrificial rituals with their animals as well. Why are they not protesting?
    These PETA types go after helpless ladies dressed in fur. Why don't they go after bikers clad in leather?

We have ALWAYS used animals to further our knowledge and experience, up until new technology (read as 10+ years of R&D) has managed to move our understanding higher.
    If PETA doesn't want pigs to have 'gunshot wounds', then they should 'instruct its 2 million members to'.... offer to stand in for the pigs.
    How can it be wrong to want our boys to go to war with every possible advantage, be it materials or knowledge.

    Truth is, you can train on a mannequin or dummy all day - but it doesn't jump, cry out or make you messy the way living things do.

    Would PETA rather that the Army use prisoners from death row in place of the pigs?

It just goes to show you who's side these leftist pukes (aka Pelosi, Reid, PETA, "global warming") are on. It's not for the freedom loving, liberties of the hard working American, why no, they just haven't come out yet, to say that we had this war coming, oh, wait, some of them did say that... And then to wantonly try to stop a military excercise put in place to train troops to protect these idiots' rights to voice their idiotic notion. Yes, let's put those prisoners in Git-mo, to use, where they can actually do good for our country, they could perceive this as being the martyr, etc. and unite them with their goats, no, sorry, virgins, that's what it was... I was way off....
  • mblake01, on 07/18/2008, -1/+0Ah, the smell of bacon in the morning! We process specific animals just for the purpose of the food supply. Those that don't survive, I take and fix you a BLT...Hmm..good!!!
    Frankly, the PETA group should be lined up against a wall and shot and they can be practiced on for EMT. Better yet, lets drop them over Afghanistan for grins and they can let the Taliban deal with their whining.
