- macoafi, on 10/31/2008, -0/+1In history class a few years back, I remember learning that it was really common in the Dust Bowl during the Great Depression for the neighbors to pool some money and then bid very very low so they could give the house back to the owner.

The kind of woman whose household income probably exceeds the ever-changing threshold for the middle class. I bet we all wish she would have handed that $30,000 over to the government instead of reaching out to help someone in her own community. They could have taken $500 of it and given it to someone who doesn't pay taxes, then spent the rest on useless government programs... you know, the kind that Obama ran in Chicago when he completely failed to make a single positive change despite spending hundreds of millions of dollars.
