In the generations that have followed the 60's huge strides had been made to view all Americans as people instead of 'farm implements'. Nowadays "racial discrimination" is basically one person saying that this other person owes them something for "the sins of the father'. It just happens that one person has more color to their cheek than the other. PS: Even God does not pass judgment for the sins of the father!
Sorry - I don't think ANYONE should get preferential treatment unless they are of stellar intelligence. It makes me livid to go in for a job and be turned down because someone else, trying for the same position, got the job - not by skills, but because they threatened a 'discrimination' suit. If you didn't care enough about your future to study before, why should I give you opportunity to ruin my business now?
Oh, and WHATEVER about "no good schools" - ALL city schools are abysmal. There is nothing being taught in them except how to be a criminal. The only education I got was at a small town school. City schools are so very bad, because the students attending them have no guidance or structure in their lives - and that's NOT a color problem, them is an issue of selfish, narcissistic people who should not ever have been parents anyway!
