      We need to try to show unity when we are in other countries. It is unacceptable for the lame duck President to talk that way about the man who will very probably be the next President.

We did not set the expectations for world domination and executions for non muslims. We did not take to killing innocents as the way to make a 'statement' about our intent. We do not embrace the philosophy of lies and deceit as the way to achieve those means.
    But we are in a war. And it costs the same as every other war: lives and fortunes.
    There fore the only answer can be to attack as though we wanted to be there and annihilate the self described enemy of ours to our total satisfaction. Period.
    Anything less is weakness and a vector for defeat... and that is not an option in my playbook.

      A few thoughts about your comments:

I assume that you are aware that the US, with the fall of the USSR, is the world's only superpower, and is the most wealthy and powerful nation in the history of the planet. To say that a loose network of loosers & radical extremists in third world nations are capable of destroying the US (or any Western Nation State for that matter) is pure fantasy. We have invaded two middle eastern nations and have installed our own governments, and are presently nation building in two middle eastern nations. Think about it...

      "We did not take to killing innocents as the way to make a 'statement' about our intent." See "Shock and Awe", the civilian body count, Amnesty international and Red Cross' reports, deaths by torture, Black Sites, allowing Blackwater to operate outside of any law. Then look at the international laws laid out in the Geneava Convention.

      "But we are in a war." A war we chose and one carried out on illegal grounds as stated by international law.

      "And it costs the same as every other war: lives and fortunes". Cold, cruel and callous, and wholly irresponsible in terms of economics; but the real problem with this statement is that this war was a war of our choosing. Iraq did not attack us. We were sold this war on lies about the immanent threat this nation posed. We are staying there based on new lies about the threat it will pose. We are staying there for reasons that are wholly unnecessary to our national interest.

      "There fore the only answer can be to attack as though we wanted to be there and annihilate the self described enemy of ours to our total satisfaction." The twelve Saudis who perpetrated 9/11 annihilated themselves. If you you are advocating genocide (like Hitler), you and your kind will end where all followers this murderous ideology eventually end - "in history's unmarked grave of discarded lies".

      To make such derranged statements, I hope you enlisted are willing to go and fight this war.

      Who is the enemy? Who can we attack? All of the Arab and Persian Muslims?
      There is no enemy against which an army can prevail. As a matter of fact, due to the nature of this conflict, the more we kill and pressure with our armed forces the more the resistance to our policies will cohere against us.

      The all powerful military of the USA is useless against Muslim terrorism.

      There are other ways of solving this crisis, but it takes a number of paragraphs to explain. You want sound bites and talking points, not cogent reasoning by educated adults.

Bush has never said anything against Obama. He is not into character assassination as are the Democrats. He doesn't have to do that, because he believes they will do it to themselves. Bush talks issues, not personalities. When someone screws up, like Jimmy Carter does (repeatedly), Bush will talk about the screw-up and its probable consequences, and why it is foolish, but he doesn't name names. Obama must have a guilty conscience if he identifies with Bush's comments. That says to me that Obama is rather weak and unable to handle heat even if it isn't directed at him. He is not the best candidate for the Presidency of the United States. This will become abundantly clear in the future.
