- ramong, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4Yup, Canada is by far a better country to live in, it's cleaner, has better health insurance, robust economy and above all Bush isn't their President. God Bless Canada!
- dsendecki, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3The numbers may no be significant — but the reasons behind them are.
- dsendecki, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3But what does that have to do with the fact that more Americans are moving north? Canadians move south for economic reasons—Americans move north for ideological ones. That's a big point.
- RogerStrong, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Don't count on it. Canada has learned lthe hard way that the US cannot or will not honor it's trade agreements. Which is why our Prime Minister has been travelling around setting up trade agreements with other countries. And it's why the pipeline from the Athabasca tar sands will likely be heading west to the coast to sell to China, rather than south to the U.S.
- blacklist, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2There are still more Canadians coming south, over twice as many.
In 2006, 10,942 Americans went to Canada, compared with 9,262 in 2005 and 5,828 in 2000, according to a survey by the Association for Canadian Studies.
Last year, 23,913 Canadians moved to the United States, a significant decrease from 29,930 in 2005. - GopherGod, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1This means almost nothing.
11,000 people are leaving the US? Our of what? 300,000,000? Let me know when when that number is significant. - mepol, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1This is pretty scary! We will destroy the world. Of course this is what they want.
- UnFriendlyFire, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1It won't do them any good. NAU is coming.
