What if Ron Paul really IS our only hope to save planet Earth from Mutually Assured Destruction?
Don't you think he deserves an award for the effort?
Think about the alternatives for a second. Aside from the fact that all three are technically traitors for their affiliation with the CFR, Clinton just said she obliterate Iran, McCain said he wants to stay in the Middle East for over 100 years and Obama is talking about chasing after "Al Qaeda" into Pakistan searching for Osama Bin Laden after Benazir Bhutto already said the name of the man who killed him just before she herself died.
What would Ron Paul do some still might ask? He'd give us our civil rights at home back and bring our troop back the next day! - BaneMaler, on 05/15/2008, -0/+4Anything is possible
- coolguy3247, on 05/16/2008, -0/+2The presidential campaign of Dr. Ron Paul may in fact be the most important event in human history. If we go through another 8 years of pseudo-dictatorship and begin the nuclear wars that are planned by the current ruling establishment, what may be left of our civilization, what will happen to the environment? Will we even survive as a functional species? The time is now and more than ever people need to wake up and realize whats been going on in this world around them. We need a real "change" of thought and perspective, and a redistribution of power back from insane elite ruling class, to a thoughtful and well educated public. Ron Paul is the only candidate who is qualified to represent the people regarding the current economic and social problems that we are facing.
- beartrack, on 05/16/2008, -0/+1War is Peace. Slavery is Freedom.
- BaneMaler, on 05/19/2008, -0/+1As a member of the Legislative Body Ron Paul can indeed nominate himself. In fact, I think it would be interesting if some of the Paul Republicans that will surely win offices can also nominate him. 2009 even isn't out of the cards. This will surely put it on the minds of the world if we show our support and bring it up in the media.
- Tatonka322, on 05/16/2008, -1/+1i looked into this a while back and came to the conclusion it would be futile... the nobel peace prize is choosen by an secretive group of academics and politicians mostly of european decent and completely coordinated by the establishment elite.. this is off the nobel website:
"Each year the respective Nobel Committees send individual invitations to thousands of members of academies, university professors, scientists from numerous countries, previous Nobel Laureates, members of parliamentary assemblies and others, asking them to submit candidates for the Nobel Prizes for the coming year. These nominators are chosen in such a way that as many countries and universities as possible are represented over time."
we can do our part and sign the petition, but don't hold your breathe... - tajitj, on 05/15/2008, -1/+1Not going to happen. I do believe we needed a Republican who was anti war and put it in terms like Paul did. His candidacy put more pressure on all candidates than most realize. His reason for being anti war is backed up by a justified reasons that even Democrats fail to realize. Dems just give cliche answers on the war. Paul gives a fundamental principle that is based on the Constitution for his reason. Our only hope is that Obama understands that and gets some sense knocked into him.
