- doUknowhim, on 09/29/2008, -1/+16This increased threat from these murderous Islamic jihadist proves all the more, that we need to stay on the offensive.
Terrorist only understand one thing, overwhelming force! If they get away with this act, they will plan more. Thank God this hasn't come to our nation after 9-11. The US military and especially the those of the Special Forces, have performed with great bravery and grit. My hat is off to them. God bless the USA- Flecktones, on 10/01/2008, -0/+0What's the deal about that obsession dvd that was distrubuted by the mainstream media? I can appreciate that the truth about Islam's agenda being revealed to the masses... Why would the secular media partake in that objective when they usually emphasize what they want you to believe anyway? They must have an hidden agenda!
- linuxdad, on 09/30/2008, -0/+15The desperation of these Islamic-Neanderthals is directly proportional to the devices that they create. The religion of peace is just a load of murderous crap, thank you Mohammad (Hellfire be upon you).
- THEROD54, on 09/30/2008, -0/+11This just goes to show that in a pinch, simple works.
NOW CAN WE GET THIS THROUGH OUR GOVT. HEAD, WE AIN'T MESSEN WITH ROCKET SCIENCE ON THE AVERAGE ISLAMIC NUT JOB.
OFF THE SHELF STUFF.- NorEEzta, on 09/30/2008, -0/+5Not that simple actually. The US and Russia have already used thermobaric bombs. The US: MOAB. And Russia: FOAB (so they claim).
http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/systems/mun ...
They just don't make 'em like they used to.

- DrReaper, on 09/30/2008, -1/+8I say we bring our soldiers home and put them on the border with Mexico. Save a hundreds of billions of dollars a year. Let the world police itself. Americans cannot afford it anymore.
- GRIMSLAYER, on 09/30/2008, -0/+3I think Ron Paul says that aswell...
- DrReaper, on 09/30/2008, -0/+3Ron Paul is correct on many things. I will be voting for Chuck Baldwin as well.
- BigBill380, on 09/30/2008, -0/+0That's fine, but what are you going to do with the hundreds maybe thousands of "peaceful" Muslims and terrorists already in the country. I don't mean to say all Muslims are terrorists, but when was the last time you saw a Muslim in this country condemn the activities of terrorist anywhere?
- DrReaper, on 10/01/2008, -0/+1Leading by example is a powerful thing. Isn't the jihad because we are in Muslim lands in the first place? The fact is if we do not pull back we will go broke. I don't like the idea of going broke do you?
- basicben, on 10/01/2008, -0/+1It would be nice if just guarding our border with Mexico would solve the problem. Unfortunately we have to go to their rat holes to exterminate them
- Flecktones, on 10/01/2008, -2/+0Unfortunately, their already among us! Trojan horses everywhere!!!
- DrReaper, on 10/01/2008, -0/+2I don't think you are right. The muslims want peace as well. They don't want us in their lands. Make industral hemp legal so we have fuel and pull out.
- Flecktones, on 10/02/2008, -1/+0The meaning of Islam is to submit!
Can you please explain how this coincides with your best interests???
- GRIMSLAYER, on 09/30/2008, -0/+3I think Ron Paul says that aswell...
- Escapade, on 09/30/2008, -6/+1as much as worknetdaily sucks, that's pretty scary.
- basicben, on 10/01/2008, -0/+1Look out. Next thing you know you'll be believing the truth like the rest of us.
- congresssucks, on 09/30/2008, -1/+4To compare this bomb to a nuke, well, ridiculous.
- congresssucks, on 09/30/2008, -0/+5Did some research, Russia's largest FAE bomb (world's largest) can be compared to the smallest tactical nuke, without the radiation. Terrorist have been using this type of bomb since 1985. A thermobaric bomb is what was used on the World Trade Center in the first bombing. It isn't like the terrorist have just discovered this type of weapon. The USA designed them in the 60s, and used them in Vietnam.
- spinningplates2, on 09/30/2008, -1/+3I agree with congresssucks, how can this bomb be compared to a nuke? Terror bombings are evil and we should always be on guard. But it does seem like crying wolf to compare it to nukes. I mean the recent bombing blew up part of a Hotel but wouldn't even a small nuke blow up the whole city?
- GRIMSLAYER, on 09/30/2008, -0/+3Negative, in fact I have been employed by the US Army, in that time was exposed to many muclear armaments, that might only take-out a couple-city blocks.
- spinningplates2, on 09/30/2008, -1/+1Right, only a couple of blocks. I bet you had access to those suitcase bombs. Because you're so smart the Army had to use you. Sell you stories to the nuts that believe in space aliens, I don't buy it.
- GRIMSLAYER, on 09/30/2008, -0/+3Negative, in fact I have been employed by the US Army, in that time was exposed to many muclear armaments, that might only take-out a couple-city blocks.
- edhillpr, on 09/30/2008, -0/+3A suit case nuke would have a limited radius but easily kill 100,000-500,000 people, assuming population density of 125,000 per square mile on a normal business day in Manhattan.
A larger truck borne device could have a 2-5 mile radius of destruction with 2-20 psi or greater overpressure blast effects, radiation effects could spread in a 20 to 100 mile radius around blast point. With no water available after the blast, the resulting fires from the detonation heat pulse would spread uncontrolled for days. The electromagnetic pulse and loss of communications infrastructure would eliminate all phone, data, radio, TV networks for most of the NE and USA. Financial damage would be greater than 9-11.
We can't allow this to happen. Such a terrorist attack would only be the start of our problems. - GlobalRoamer, on 09/30/2008, -0/+6A Bad Tree Bears Bad Fruit

The people who manage to flee from the fire are hacked to death by Muslim extremists.
- sexydarin, on 09/30/2008, -0/+3He's not comparing it to a nuke other than its power. It says "packs power like a nuke"
- congresssucks, on 09/30/2008, -0/+1The power of nukes are rated in the kilo and mega ton, the largest conventional explosive takes a super size jet to carry a 15,000 lb bomb. That is 71/2 tons, not even close to a kilo ton. These fuel air explosives only compare to tactical nukes which the article does not insinuate. Tactical nuke are mini nukes that can be shot out of small artillery, the size of softballs. Thanks to Jimmy Carter the USA no longer has tactical nukes, in fear we might use them.
- sexydarin, on 09/30/2008, -1/+3British soldiers, when they occupied what was called the turkish ottoman empire,. used to tell muslims to run and then shoot them in the back. This was in retaliation to their peaceful religious ways. (heavy sarcasm)
- spinningplates2, on 09/30/2008, -3/+2 Never has any "Christian" army used the phrase, "Convert or Die!" But it is used by the Muslim to this day.

- spinningplates2, on 09/30/2008, -0/+1Everyone knows that the Nukes used last year on 24 were not real, right?
- GRIMSLAYER, on 10/01/2008, -1/+0Sorry i I typo-ed you before, i was talking about a two-dollar bill.
The limited nuke I spoke of earlier, was artillery oriented, (and yet, your igmorance of such devices doesn't make them fancy).
It just means your ignorant.- spinningplates2, on 10/01/2008, -0/+1When I was a 82c (Field Artillery Surveyor) in the 82nd Airborne, when we used Trigonometry instead of a GPS to find a "Known Point," we were all aware of 155mm Howitzers, and that they could deliver Nukes. They were fired from 20-30 miles away and the Battery was told that they were immediately start heading the other direction because it was most likely they were going to die from the same explosion.
While in the 82nd I jumped from Helicopters, C-130's, and even a Galaxy C-5A, the world largest jet cargo aircraft. I know about Field Artillery you big talking punk.
There is NO SUCH THING as a nuke that will only destroy a few city block. You have done nothing but talked big and proven your stupidity on Digg (under several names) for years. You are a poser and a wannbe who has a history of insane posts with a singular purpose of trying to appear smart. You fail.

- GlobalRoamer, on 09/30/2008, -1/+2I saw a show on the Military Channel not long ago.
It was about Thermobaric Bombs. The scientist who invented the Thermobaric Bomb was a woman who Immigrated (legally) from Viet Nam. She is now a US citizen.
The show did it's usual thing displaying the bomb, showing the tests, and so on.
The thing that touched me the deepest was the interview with the scientist. She was PROUD to be an American. She loved her new country so much (her English was perfect) that she committed her professional career to making the Thermobaric Bomb to save the lives of the US Military operating in Afghanistan and Iraq.
I couldn't hold back the tears. I read the comments from some of these anti-American idiots. They are not fit to clean up this woman's droppings.
Does anyone know the name of the scientist I am talking about?- congresssucks, on 09/30/2008, -0/+1May L Chan
- GlobalRoamer, on 10/02/2008, -0/+1Thanks congress,
I don't know if you got a chance to catch it?
She is an incredible American. She's trying to help save the lives of our military!
God bless her.
- GlobalRoamer, on 10/02/2008, -0/+1Thanks congress,

- Flecktones, on 10/01/2008, -1/+0You have to be pretty stupid to vote democratic or republican. Maybe that explains why the left sees Americans as the masses are the asses. Unfortunately so!
