LOS ANGELES, CALIF. - October 3, 2008 - An internet truthseeker has released a new online-only documentary regarding his take on the controversial Church of Scientology, which is based in Los Angeles, California. The piece is directed towards individuals who are curious about this religion, the authenticity of which is constantly mocked by a wide array of characters, from late night hosts to a large hacker association known as Anonymous.
The internet is anticipating the reaction from the church, which is notorious for going after its detractors through lawsuits and other means of action.
The creator of the ten minute short, who credits himself only as a "concerned person", expects YouTube to pull the video at the peak of its popularity. The church was succesful in getting YouTube to pull the now infamous Tom Cruise interview in which he discussed very strange things, which surfaced online almost a year ago. Clips from that particular interview are included in this new piece as well as testimonial footage from ex-Scientology member Tory Christman, and rare inside footage of the church's practices, only obtainable through leaks from disgruntled members.
The Church of Scientology's actions toward this new video are unknown at this point, but one thing is for certain, hundreds of thousands are watching.
