New Poll Finds Majority of Israelis support Talks with Hamas

voanews.com — According to the poll that was commissioned by the left-of-center Haaretz newspaper, 64 percent of Israelis say their government should hold talks with Hamas militants - to end the firing of rockets from the Gaza Strip and obtain the release of an Israeli soldier held by Hamas.

  • dantseytlin, on 02/27/2008, -0/+2negotiate with terrorists? that's exactly how i would describe the diplomacy constituting the middle east "roadmap for peace." Doesn't seem like a new development. Seems like more of the same. Extremists want to wipe Jews off the earth, and Israelis want to be protected from suicide bombers/rockets.
