- aztecpoet, on 06/27/2009, -1/+3I think hex needs to take a few hours and LEARN more about the ties between Shawna Forde and many of the other Minute Men groups before he tries to patronize us with his lack of knowledge on the subject. They may try to wash their hands clean from their association with Forde but she mingled with them all.
Every poster here before hex has done more than just read the story. Most of them have deep knowledge of the various MM groups. There are some of the top well-informed bloggers that have commented on this story.
Just eysterday, Dee exposed a Pima County cop as havng connections with Forde.

The minutemen movement should be fully investigated to prevent future extremist nativist violence. Minutemen vigilantism is a form of terrorism and needs to stop.

These Minute Men try to disparage legitimate Latino advocacy groups as the Tan Klan but who is terrorizing the Brown citizens of Arizona?

SO why is this not news? - MdeG, on 06/29/2009, -1/+1Actually what Shawna Forde did *is* inexcusable, and what the Minutemen in general do is inexcusable as well. Our country's *immigration* policy is insane, and greatly increases the number of people who come here without papers. Our country's *trade* policies are insane, and gut the economies of our neighboring countries, leading to large numbers of people wanting to emigrate.
There is no large group of people that consists entirely of saints and angels. However, on the whole I'd rather hang out w/ the undocmented folks than with the likes of Shawna Forde. - missingxtension, on 06/27/2009, -2/+2The article has a picture of ms forde but i didnt see one of Briseria.

Once criminal illegal aliens make it to one of this country's many sanctuary cities, they'll be coddled as they rob and kill American citizens.
In Newark, NJ in 2007, three African-American college students (Iofemi Hightower, 20, Dashon Harvey, 20, and Terrance Aeriel, 18) were killed execution-style by a gang of criminal illegal aliens. The New York Times reported that one of the killers, Jose Lachira Carranza, "was an illegal immigrant from Peru who could have been detained after one of two previous arrests but wasn't" because of Newark's sanctuary policy.

Last year in San Francisco, a father and his two sons were all gunned down on a street corner by Edwin Ramos, 21, a criminal illegal alien from El Salvador. The San Francisco Chronicle reported that Ramos "was one of the youths who benefited from the city's long-standing practice of shielding illegal immigrant juveniles who committed felonies from possible deportation."

What Shawna Forde did is inexcusable, but the fact is the Minutemen and other border vigilante groups are helping prevent this country's insane illegal alien policy from causing more American deaths.
