- JCSaint, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6Hey Dickehad,
The problem wasn't that they wouldn't change their views but that they harassed him, refused to contact his rabbi and disrespected his beliefs. How would you feel if a Muslim was constantly trying to convert Christian soldiers in military hospitals and if the hospital wouldn't let them eat pork? All in the name of religious freedom, right?
Maybe you should have read this part:
“I am not trying to get rid of the chaplain corps,” Miller said. “When I was in the Navy, I was a religious program specialist. I worked with Christian chaplains, and I believe in the value of the chaplain corps, but not using it to bludgeon people, for heaven’s sake.” - CletusJones, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3It's such a shame; the military (read gov't) of this SECULAR country is controlled by fully grown men who still believe in Santa Claus.
- maskidat, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1One must wonder how far they would go in their efforts to save this man's soul. The Inquisition proved what again?
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -5/+1"The hospital’s chaplains and staff, Miller said, have the attitude that you either accept Jesus Christ as your personal savior and you are saved, or you are damned.
He said he has tried to resolve the problems with the hospital’s administration without success."
Oh Noes! Christians expressed a CHRISTIAN viewpoint! The horror!
I'm sorry the Christian Chaplains weren't happy to change their beliefs to accommodate your own, but the bottom line is, if you don;t accept Christ, you're going to Hell.
