- Frankyfan3, on 03/02/2009, -0/+14The murdering drug cartels are completely in favor of prohibition laws.
They make massive profits BECAUSE of the War on Drugs, not in spite of it.
So, if you support the continuation of these utterly failed policies on prohibition, then you have aligned yourself with the interests of people that kidnap and murder Americans as well as Mexicans.
We spend $300 Million dollars more on fighting the war on drugs than we spend on fighting the illicit trade of human beings, modern slavery, one of the fastest growing and most profitable industries in the world.
I can't accept any argument to rationalize that disparity. - Halsfield, on 03/02/2009, -0/+5End the War on Drugs, end the violent drug cartel's reign of power. No money from drugs = no money to terrorize people. We're spending money to fight them and we're spending money to fund them, and the money to fund them is much larger than the funding to fight them with every allowed to be.
Its not only Mexico either. Much of central and south America, countries in Africa, Afghanistan, Iran, some southeast Asian countries, all funded by the War on Drugs. How can anyone justify this war anymore? Some officials are trying to justify it with ***** like "We can never expect to win the war on drugs, but we cant give up either". We continue to imprison people unjustly because of the untrue "scourge of drugs" when the real scourge are the gangs that the war on drugs funds as well. How many guns do you think they could buy without the ridiculous multi-thousands of dollars a day they earn from selling cocaine/heorin/crack/meth/etc ?
Where is that truth in the anti-drug commission ads on tv ?
This point has been said so many times its sad but still a large portion of the country isnt listening. They have their hands clamped over their ears and they're singing as loud as they can to keep the truth from getting through. - andyb747, on 03/02/2009, -0/+2Do you know where I can buy some.....stuff ?
NO, but I can take you on a narco tour....(wink wink) - Snap65, on 03/02/2009, -0/+2Here is a video of what happened last week (About 10 miles from the US border) .. Just play the video located on the right of the page titled "Reynosa Bajo Fuego" Drug Cartel vs Mexican Federal Police http://www.elmananarey.com/
- bkrejchi, on 03/02/2009, -1/+3Articles like this are sad for me to read because it's easy for us to judge them for being violent and corrupt, but without us Americans who represent the demand for these drugs, there would be no profit to be made. Through war and violence against each other and the state, these cartels have merely supplied something that was in demand. When will prohibition end?
- agentVivid, on 03/02/2009, -0/+2just don't go to Juarez... but the beaches are still nice!

- tracymichell, on 05/07/2009, -0/+0All inclusive vacations are an excellent option to consider when you still want to have a vacation but you are concerned about how quickly the costs can add up. http://www.allinclusivevacations123.com
- inactive, on 03/02/2009, -2/+1I don't think I want to visit a country for a vacation when people from that country do anything and everything just to get back into MY country for a decent life...
