Nancy Pelosi Approved of Waterboarding
littlegreenfootballs.com — In 2002, Nancy Pelosi was a member of a bipartisan group that was made aware of harsh interrogation techniques being used with Islamic terrorists in US custody —and the group not only approved of the tactics (including waterboarding), they asked the...

- thotpoizn, on 12/09/2007, -1/+25If this were untrue, it would be discredited, disproven, and headlining the media as "yet another example of the lying right," etc. But given it's completely true and embarrassingly verifiable, you can expect it to be robo-buried just as soon as the 'tardbot grid takes notice...
- Iconoclast25, on 12/09/2007, -1/+19. . . something she has in common with shrillary and the late, unlamented, bella abzug.
- Chip53, on 12/09/2007, -2/+43This won't sit well with moonbat nation.
- Dewhead, on 12/10/2007, -1/+16She will just claim that Bush made her do it.
- Troika37, on 12/09/2007, -1/+37But... but... but... Now she calls waterboarding torture... Does this mean the military tortured me at SERE? Am I due some sort of reparations? Or is this just more posturing and blustering by a Democrat who believes the media are firmly in her pocket?
The CIA was specificially asked to use more harsh methods. When discussing waterboarding, "the reaction in the room was not just approval, but encouragement."
A slight bit of my faith is restored in the Dem leadership. Even if they're willing to get on tv and slander the troops and go on the record falsly accusing Marines of murder, they seem to understand (behind closed doors) that there is a war on. There is no excuse for the public face they show, but at least they are privately supporting the military and intel communities doing what needs to be done.
I bet the nutroots flip out. - lgfaphile, on 12/09/2007, -2/+39Gee, does this mean the Dem's in Congress are making political points at the expense of national security? Ya' think?
- nixfu, on 12/10/2007, -1/+12Same play book since 1960's....***** national security if it gets in the way of all the money needed for socialism.
- hitcharide, on 12/09/2007, -2/+28I give it about another 10 minutes until Pelosi releases a statement that she either had nothing to do with it/was misinformed/didn't know what the definition of "is" was. VERY typical behavior of liberals, to be involved knee deep in something yet try to spin and put the blame elsewhere, not unlike Clinton trying to blame all his philandering on the various women he's molested. Said it before and I'll say it again, democrats themselves are the best reason why not to vote for a democrat!
- akira185, on 12/10/2007, -2/+20And yet Bush who had to KNOW this is a fact, let her get away with politicizing this issue. WHEN are we going to get someone in that office who has a pair of cajones and will stand up to the damn liberal Democrats!
- nixfu, on 12/10/2007, -1/+18Looking at her twisted face, googlely eyes and 1 foot thick plastered on makeup is torture to me.
- dlbfromLA, on 12/10/2007, -1/+8I would expect nothing less from a San Fran liberal!!
