NY Times Claims Jesus Spoke in "Palestine"
blog.camera.org — In an April 22nd New York Times article, "In Syrian Villages, the Language of Jesus Lives", reporter Robert Worth asserted that Jesus spoke Aramaic "in Palestine two millennia ago." There was no such place as "Palestine" in the time of Jesus, since the Romans didn't rename Judea as "Palestina" until a hundred years after the death of Jesus.

- Stevanoski, on 05/02/2008, -2/+4Maybe because it was called Israel.
- EIderofzion, on 05/03/2008, -0/+4WTF,, if people think "Palestine" was mentioned in the old testament then I have a few verses for them to read from the book if ISAIAH
14:29
Rejoice not (thou whole Palestina) as though the rod of him that beateth thee were broken: For out of the serpent's root, there shall wax a cockatrice, and the fruit shall be a fiery worm.
14:30
But the poor shall feed of the best things, and the simple shall dwell in safety. Thy roots will I destroy with hunger, and it shall slay thy remnant.
14:31
Mourn ye ports, weep ye cities, and fear thou (O whole Palestina) for there shall come from the North a smoke, whose power no man may abide.
14:32
Who shall then maintain the messages of the Gentiles? But the LORD stablisheth Sion, and the poor of my people shall put their trust in him.
