- MiggyE, on 12/19/2007, -1/+38Vote Ron Paul and do whatever you can stop the tyranny!!
- maxtangent, on 12/19/2007, -1/+32Let me guess... I have nothing to worry about unless I'm doing something wrong... Right?
- R123Allison, on 12/20/2007, -0/+29Echelon??? No surprises here. I hate the New World Order, and I say "Death to the New World Order".
- inactive, on 12/20/2007, -0/+29Tolerating this kind of ***** is absurd people. Everyone is going to have to stand up to the status quo and say NO MORE!!! Those of us who refuse to be run over have protested until we are blue in the face, and they are ignoring us. All of you need to write your Reps and Senators demanding a stop to this. Widespread protest is imperative if we are going to win, so don't just sit there, raise hell!!!
- argusbargus, on 12/19/2007, -0/+29Wait until they hire spin agents to respond to your emails the same way they respond to comments in digg.

Enter the bury brigade. - fitzgerald11, on 12/19/2007, -0/+28I think the time has arrived for us to say NO. No to technology if it is engineered to dehumanise us. We defeat the enemy by avoiding to use the technologies god created but usurped by the globalist tyrants. Only use them if you really need to, like for business etc, but keep changing your pattern of using them, use as much camouflage as possible because they've started a war on us, and we have no choice but to fight them.
- Look4Truth, on 12/20/2007, -0/+27But this is just for our safety you know. It's ok that the borders are wide open for "terrorists" to cross but we sure better track Jimbo discussing 9/11.
How can people still deny all of this is happening? It's just insane! - djscrumpit, on 12/19/2007, -0/+25WTF
- staggerlee14760, on 12/20/2007, -0/+19 There are too many of us awake now for us to go back to sleep with a democrat puppet.
- inactive, on 12/20/2007, -0/+18uh, yeah folks thats the new america. either get used to it or vote ron paul before they drastically accelerate or put us back to sleep with a democrat puppet
- benchpresser, on 12/19/2007, -0/+16What about LINUX, anonymousspeech.com (based in Japan) and pareto logic for Internet Security? Anybody got any other suggestions?
- maxtangent, on 12/20/2007, -0/+15Exactly.
Why is wanting privacy an indication of wrongdoing?
If Cheney isn't doing anything wrong in his bedroom or bathroom, then he shouldn't mind a webcam there 24/7 - to follow his own logic. - Herostratus, on 12/20/2007, -0/+12Big Brother is watching you
- Malig, on 12/20/2007, -0/+12Wow, the folks in Washington are just crazy about control. They should get a hobby, like, moving their stuff OUT so Dr. Paul can move IN.
- jeremiah77769, on 12/27/2007, -0/+9What our government is doing now is nothing short of TREASON. We need to do what our forefathers would have done in the face of such tyranny... RIP THE SYSTEM!!!
- mcglory80, on 12/20/2007, -0/+9I expected this for a long time now!
- scubadvrbambi1, on 12/20/2007, -0/+9Has anyone ever seen the movie "Gattica"? Can't these folks find anything more constructive to do with their time, instead they want to read e-mails and IM's. And we pay our Govt to do this in the form of taxation! Someone needs to make a hysterical spoof film about all the Govt snooping!
- londerosa, on 12/21/2007, -0/+8And here I just heard on Faux News about George Bush wringing his hands over Putin's trespasses against democracy. What hypocrisy! Bush's and Putin's homeland approval ratings say it all. Bush has done more damage to a free and prosperous populace than Putin could ever imagine in his most controlling and malevolent moment. I think that we all need to harangue our so called Representatives about a private internet today, and tomorrow, and the day after. In the meantime, however, I remember reading a book by a CIA agent who said that the KGB bugged his phone, but after two weeks of listening to his teen aged daughter's phone calls, they reconsidered and removed the tap. You know, there's a kernel of strategy there.... Take a page from their playbook, and overwhelm them with inane drivel and misinformation!
- truelies, on 12/21/2007, -0/+7There's no real way around this if you're using mainline software. With Vista, for instance, Microsoft collaborated with the NSA in developing its cryptography. Find websites that allow you to send email anonymously; find software that allows you to browse the web with a anonymous IP address. Ditch the mobile phone.
- inactive, on 12/21/2007, -0/+6i don't think we will be able to change this, until we change many other things first. To start with, we need to bring our Constitution back! keep up the fight. If you are not outraged, you are not paying attention.
Jen - inactive, on 12/21/2007, -0/+5Thank you for bringing up Echelon, That is truly the the answer. We are all worried about all this FISA and now this when all along they have had ECHELON. Look up what it is if you are un-aware.
- londerosa, on 12/21/2007, -0/+5Yep, but Cheney has a different kind of electronic mayhem going on around him than the one he would propose for us. My brother was flying remotely controlled model airplanes with buddies in Wyoming when Cheney came to town. Apparently the Secret Service electronically jams the area around Cheney, because all of a sudden seven guys' remote controls simultaneously lost contact with their airplanes, and they all crashed! And these weren't cheap little toys, some were exotic, some were quarter scale, all of them were worth thousands. Somehow advanced technology in the hands of people like Cheney never turns out well for citizens....
- truelies, on 12/21/2007, -0/+4nice thought!
- inactive, on 12/21/2007, -0/+4Great comment maxtangent's! That is literally the reaction that I receive from many people almost daily.
- staggerlee14760, on 12/28/2007, -0/+4 I use pclinuxos and I know they don't have any deals with Microsoft but as far as the NSA I don't know.
- darthchaosrspw, on 12/28/2007, -0/+3From what I understand, Windows, Mac OS X, and even Novell SLED/openSUSE are all NSA-compliant. I guess part of Novell's "collaboration agreement" with Microsoft was to make SLED/openSUSE NSA-compliant. Makes me wonder if Xandros 4.2 and Linspire 6.0 and Freespire 2.0 are the same when it comes to NSA compliance.
- keenonfreedom, on 12/31/2007, -0/+3Vote Ron Paul! Write in ballot.
- JonForTheWin, on 12/30/2007, -0/+2Use Ubuntu or Kubuntu GNU+Linux, use Mozilla Thunderbird with the Enigmail plug-in. Use SILC instead of aim with the friends who have the manners to use SILC also.

V for vendetta. - cazzj, on 12/31/2007, -0/+0The original intent of the internet was to share all information openly and freely so that academics could learn from each other. Security was never really a concern. But, like most Nobel (sic) inventions, it has become a weapon to be used against Us.
- Noureddin, on 12/20/2007, -5/+3He's coo-coo for co-co puffs!
