NASA Debunks Part of Global Warming Myth, Will Media Report It?
newsbusters.org — A new study out of NASA determined that "not all the large changes seen in Arctic climate in recent years are a result of long-term trends associated with global warming." Of course, it's quite unlikely many climate alarmists will even hear about this study.

- lucidguru, on 11/14/2007, -14/+1The article implies that ALL shrinkage is due to global warming.... that's not at all what NASA is saying...
They are saying that it's normal for the temperature of the Earth to vary a few degrees from year to year. The recent declines in the ice caps is due to BOTH global warming and these regular fluctuations. If you actually look at the long term trends it is very apparent that the AVERAGE temperature has risen, even as these oscillations continue. To say that man does not have an effect on the environment is very ignorant position.- 2612, on 11/14/2007, -1/+12Says who? There are dozens of scientists who say global warming is NOT caused by man. It's ignorant because it doesn't agree with your views?

- whodat51773, on 11/15/2007, -0/+9NASA and university scientists have determined that reversals in Arctic Ocean circulation, which is caused by atmospheric circulation changes, vary by the decades. "The results suggest not all the large changes seen in Arctic climate in recent years are a result of long-term trends associated with global warming."
Not to get too scientific on you, the pattern of circulation in the Arctic affected the salinity of the upper ocean near the North Pole, which decreased its weight (specific gravity) and changed its circulation. But this is a naturally occurring change. "Our study confirms many changes seen in upper Arctic Ocean circulation in the 1990s were mostly decadal in nature, rather than trends caused by global warming."
According to the report, it is too early to say but the Arctic Ocean is ready to start swinging back to its counterclockwise circulation pattern .. but change back it will, and then back the other way ... and so forth. I wonder what OwlGore will be saying when that happens.
Meanwhile, the UN is working on its guide to tackling climate change. Take a look at this statement again from the Director of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change:
"Everyone will feel its effects, but global warming will hit the poorest countries hardest and will 'threaten the very survival' of some people ... Failing to recognize the urgency of this message and act on it would be nothing less than criminally irresponsible' and a direct attack on the world's poorest people."
The solution? Well, for the UN, I guarantee you that the solution will be massive transfers of money from governments with democratically elected governments and strong economies - like the United States - to countries run by half-assed dictators with no freedoms, no free markets, and huge numbers of impoverished people. International wealth redistribution through the United Nations ... all powered by GLOBAL WARMING
