Myanmar Junta Turns International Aid Into Form of Propagand
foxnews.com — Myanmar's military regime distributed international aid Saturday but plastered the boxes with names of top generals in an apparent effort to turn the relief effort for last week's devastating cyclone into a propaganda exercise..even though the junta took over its first two shipments.

- Kent4jmj, on 05/10/2008, -1/+9Ron Paul right again. Foreign aid often ends up in the hands of thugs and is used to increase their power and corruption. It has not worked in Africa the middle east or any where else. But its a great excuse for our government to justify taking our property, money, in the name of doing good. Of course most of our money goes to the increased government beurocracy with only a small portion actually aiding the intended beneficiaries. Kind a like welfare 60% gov. 40% poor. And we get to pay for this nonsense.

In th long term, the best way for the government to help people overseas is to allow men to come into the States for three or four as guest workers with no possibility of staying or bringing their families. They will save and send money home to be used in a sensible manner, rather than have it stolen by government thugs. The argument that "this is a special situation" is always going to be used and it will always lead to the same end. We need to TRUST that there is a better way to handle these things and kick gov. out of the equation.
Private charity is the only way to go. And if they would stop taxing us we would have the means to help even more. Another part of Pauls book throws some numbers out about American charity verses government handouts. The Charitable giving DWARFS gov.

Lets let China and the Arab nations pick up the slack. Maybe the world would appreciate us if we just checked out for several years.

Obamas advisors have been hot and heavy with the Hamas, they have become budding buds. Obama wants Israel to give up all of Israel, and give it back to Palestine. He does nort beleive in the bible, he has total belief, that everyone should have the same amount of rice in the house not one grain more or less.
He majored in Marxism, and is a hard line socialist, and the old hag he has ffor a old lady , would be another female who looks as though she could snap a neck and not blink. Why do democraps alwayslook sick, forlorn, lacking in life, and ready to drop the guillotine, with TOTAL RAPTURE. So much for hope and change, This abomination just getsmore and more scarier. I beleive he hopes for a civil revolution ,so he can declare martial law. Which would make him president foras long as he and his tribal members want. Hemust undeclare it to set up elections. Pelosi and Reid are wetting their boxers, in anticipation of Obamas election, They don't have th least idea , they'll be the first ousted, and Kwame will take pelosis job, before Obama makes him a supreme court justice.
