- UnFriendlyFire, on 06/30/2009, -2/+23Wow! Finally on the MSM.
Don't for get the ask your senators to support S.604 it is the senate companion bill to H.R.1207.
Edit: Leave it to the ID10T's at Fox to fail to mention that it is House Resolution 1207. :( - inactive, on 06/30/2009, -2/+22A representative with the Federal Reserve could not be reached for comment.
HAHAHAHA - kemp34, on 06/30/2009, -2/+20You mean the FORMER ENRON LOBBYIST wasn't in office that morning?
- richmomz, on 06/30/2009, -2/+15I was about to pat Fox on the back but then noticed that they didn't even reference the bill (HR 1207)! That's some fine journalism there boys! /s
- LouisCipher777, on 06/30/2009, -1/+13now if they can get Barney Fief to let it out of committee, and Polosi to let it up for a vote.....
- UnFriendlyFire, on 06/30/2009, -2/+11FTA - Unfortunately for Paul, the bill appears to be idling in the House Financial Services Committee, which is chaired by Barney Frank, D-Mass. The bill has been sitting there, gathering co-sponsors, since Paul introduced it in late February.
Time for an e-mail campaign
http://www.house.gov/financialservices/contact.htm ... - boulder555, on 06/30/2009, -0/+9That was then and this is now(though it was a virtual 3 way tie in WA State).
The general public, over the last 6 months has watched Congress, except for RP and friends, screw them over. Who do YOU see as benefiting? - boulder555, on 06/30/2009, -1/+8"Ron Paul has the right idea on this," said Sen. Jim DeMint, R-S.C., who supports similar legislation in the Senate. "I'm just hoping we can get a clear audit. ... We need to know what they're up to."
House Republican Leader John Boehner, who signed on as a co-sponsor this month, wrote in a recent blog post that the "lack of transparency and accountability" regarding federal dollars committed by the Fed and Treasury Department raise "serious concerns" and make an audit critical. - boulder555, on 06/30/2009, -4/+10NoLibs poo-poohs Pauls popularity ...
1)RP has more positive 'name recognition' than any other gOP figure at the grassroots (as opposed to the good ol' boys leadership) level. Thats the reason for the campaign of innuendo (racism etc) --turf protection.
2)RP is the ONLY hope to restore the Republic in this generation, something leadership in BOTH Parties (and their henchmen online) will stop at nothing to prevent. - Njon, on 06/30/2009, -1/+7@NoLibertarians: Wrong! The bill is still in committee. If they want to bring it out, they have to use a discharge petition, which Rep. Paul said he doesn't want to do because Rep. Frank promised to hold hearings.
- Temlakos, on 06/30/2009, -0/+6Those co-sponsors will have to add several more to their ranks--and then *blast* their bill out of committee with a Discharge Petition. Forget Barney Frank, who, let's not forget, is just as guilty as is the Fed, in his own way, for the mess we're in.
- inactive, on 06/30/2009, -2/+7HAHAHAHAHA I'm sure she's working on something.
- DukeLeto2, on 06/30/2009, -2/+6I see what you did there. And I like.
- boulder555, on 06/30/2009, -3/+6HR 1207 has 245 co-sponsors and climbing. At 290 it would be FORCED out of comittee - in spite of anything it's highly placed opponents can do.
"Time for an e-mail campaign
http://www.house.gov/financialservices/contact.htm ..." - walruspanzer, on 06/30/2009, -4/+7Just 2 or 3 million supporters, thats all /s
- Moonkeeper, on 06/30/2009, -1/+4I hope this doesn't become law. The last thing we need in this country is to have those in control of our money be held accountable. After all, uncontrolled concentrated power has always led to good. Just look at history.
- UnFriendlyFire, on 06/30/2009, -1/+4"Mr. Popular" was Fox's original headline, they changed it.
- mdonato, on 06/30/2009, -0/+3We must end the Fed now and end it with a vengeance. If we do not, I fear the next iteration of swine flu, or whatever war they decide to start with will end us with a vengeance.
It is past time to act. The Fed is out of control. We must hold our law-makers accountable for this creature from Jekyll Island or the creature will use our Legislative, Executive and Judicial branch to destroy freedom loving individuals.
Repeal legal tender laws! Legalize competing currencies! End the Fed!
Ok... maybe we can't get that just yet. How about a simple audit? - jepedoelph, on 06/30/2009, -0/+2let's just laugh all of them straight off the ***** planet.
- Hortnon, on 06/30/2009, -2/+4Getting picky, eh? I can play that game.
Are all 3 million of voting age, and did they vote? - goodinohio, on 07/01/2009, -0/+2NoLib, why are you obsessed with Ron Paul?
- walruspanzer, on 06/30/2009, -5/+6245 cosponsors, thats 56% of the total House. Its a good start for someone with pipe dream support.
- Moonkeeper, on 06/30/2009, -3/+33 million is 1% of the voting population?
- Hortnon, on 06/30/2009, -6/+63 million is 1%
Cosponsors don't mean they support him, that means they support the bill
Facts, crazy things aren't they? - CCoburn3, on 07/02/2009, -1/+1This bill is going nowhere. Ron Paul can get sponsors from now until the cows come home, but Barney Frank will never let it out of committee & if, by some miracle it did get out of committee, Nancy Pelosi would never allow it to come to a vote. Nor is there any chance that it will even get heard in the Senate.
The very last thing the politicians want is an audit of the Fed. My bet is that if they thought it had a chance to come up for a vote, 3/4 of the co-sponsors would back out. - kingnova, on 06/30/2009, -3/+3"All that is required, is that you let him believe what he wants, and he lets you believe what you want.... "
So he has the same level of support as Rush Limbaugh, Bill O'Reilly or Keith Olbermann? - CCoburn3, on 07/02/2009, -1/+1Nonsense. Until the dollar completely crashes (which will probably happen before the end of the year), we cannot get rid of the Fed. If we repeal legal tender laws, the money in everybody's bank account will suddenly become absolutely worthless. We'll see hyperinflation instantly.
Look, we're going to see hyperinflation anyway. The dollar is on its way out. If we get rid of the Fed, we'll get the blame for the hyperinflation. It's better to keep them in place so that they cannot escape the blame for what they have caused. - CCoburn3, on 07/02/2009, -1/+1In other words, it isn't going anywhere.
- Hortnon, on 06/30/2009, -5/+4Yeah, I saw the Fox headline when I was on the website earlier (looking for that stealth plane...).
I dunno what they were thinking - kingnova, on 06/30/2009, -5/+2You sound like a bad Star Wars plot
He is our only hope to restore the Republic! You do realize how naive and childish you sound, don't you?
Spurious claims do not equal fact. - Junkyarddawg, on 06/30/2009, -7/+4Well, at least Fox saw the error of their ways.
I'd like to help you guys out with some more accurate nom-de-guerres for your messiah, feel free to use them as much as you like:
"Dr Evolution-is-a-hoax".
"Dr Strict Constitutionalist Except For The Bits He Doesn't Like"
"Dr Chemtrail"
"Dr Food Additive Salesman"
"Dr Federally Ban Stem Cell Research"
"Dr The UN Is A Front For The NWO"
"Uncle Bob"
"Dr Nothing Is More Important Than The Rights Of Unborn Children"
"Dr The Profit Of Toy Manufacturers Is More Important Than The Rights Of Children (born)."
"Dr Biggest Federal Pork Procurer Of All Republican Congressmen And Strongly Opposed To Any Limitations On Pork." - dshPls, on 06/30/2009, -4/+1He was on Fox during the elections and that didn't help his cause at all.
- NoLibertarians, on 06/30/2009, -9/+5No where near that. Pipe dream??
- Junkyarddawg, on 06/30/2009, -9/+4What? A Ron Paul bill not going anywhere? Will the wonders never cease?!?
- NoLibertarians, on 06/30/2009, -12/+6Proof? Is that why he won all those primaries?
- NoLibertarians, on 06/30/2009, -11/+3You're an idiot. The bill has already been forced out. But then where is the debate and will people change their mind like they did with cap and trade. Then of course the Senate has a version. The Senate has the true power, this bill will never be law!
- Junkyarddawg, on 06/30/2009, -17/+4"Mr Popular"? Haaaahahahahahahahahahahhaha
Jesus F Christ, how deluded ARE you guys? - NoLibertarians, on 06/30/2009, -27/+7Mr. Popular? ROFLMFAO
