- elijahyossie, on 06/23/2009, -0/+41That whole story was horrific. The poor girl weighed the same aged 7 when she died as she had aged 18 months, and her brother was found trying to eat toy food in the hospital, and other siblings were stealing food at school. The parents are disgusting.
- anotherjack, on 06/24/2009, -0/+25There is nothing you can do with some people. The wrong she was inflicting was literally staring her in the face. If you don't know it's wrong, you need your kids taken away. If you do know it's wrong, you need to get away from regular folks and do jail time.
- nullcodes, on 06/24/2009, -0/+17No, he's in Saudi ARabia .. they have public executions and limb amputations of criminals etc. there.
- floridiot2, on 06/24/2009, -0/+16Your freedom ends when it endangers or harms someone else. You don't have the freedom to murder your own child, idiot.

- akaakc, on 06/24/2009, -1/+16Whoa, whoa, whoa...really? Really? Really? People can't be this stupid...can they? Please tell me you're not serious.
Oh, man...I don't think you're joking...I don't know what to say. Somebody, please tell this fool just how wrong he is. Somebody do it fast; I think my brain is going to explode. - eigenweasel, on 06/24/2009, -1/+15Here in the UK, you need a license to operate a television, another to own certain breeds of dog and another to use certain types of weedkiller.
Yet anyone can have a child, even if they have such low intelligence that any child of theirs will be certain to suffer a miserable life. These cases persist because we allow the circumstances that guarantee them to persist. - SeraphNox, on 06/24/2009, -0/+11Define irony: A story of starvation posted alongside a story of burger kings grossly oversized "7 incher" on Diggs homepage...
- Namaha, on 06/24/2009, -2/+13I wish people needed licenses to have children...
- swizzcheez, on 06/24/2009, -1/+10What the ***** is wrong with our species?
- Rikkochet, on 06/24/2009, -0/+9Grammar: 7/10

Trolling: 3/10 - doubleo7, on 06/24/2009, -1/+10"Here in the UK, you need a license to operate a television"
Seriously? - Shidell, on 06/24/2009, -0/+9No more natural selection, unfortunately.
- IceSabre, on 06/24/2009, -2/+10I hope the punishment is starvation to death.
- Khast, on 06/24/2009, -0/+8You sir win the moron award.
If you raise children, and you don't believe your child needs food....then you have NO right to have a child.
The child deserves basic human rights, and if this violates the parent's "liberty" then the parents obviously should be locked away, as there is something wrong with them. - 55Test55, on 06/24/2009, -0/+8that is so ***** up.
- bytor4232fb, on 06/24/2009, -0/+7From what I understand from the story, its because there is two other minors involved, and they are protecting the childrens identity.
- diggcensors, on 06/24/2009, -0/+7With the girls who got raped too?
- inactive, on 06/24/2009, -0/+6I'd love to know the "legal reasons" that these two adults couldn't be publicly named. Is it maybe because the so-called "legal reasons" are actually because they'd be subjected to a little good old frontier justice before they ever make it to prison? Uh, yeah. And so they should. Just another example of the "justice" system protecting the murderers but turning their back on the victim. Where the ***** was social services when that poor little girl needed them?
- Spire3660, on 06/24/2009, -1/+7Lets get something straight, you dont OWN a child. Children have the same rights to be free of oppression from their caregivers as any adult. I know this may be hard for you to understand, but when you are born, you are a part of society as a whole. While we give a lot of latitude when it comes to parents raising children, at the end of the day it is your DUTY to care for that child to the best of your ability or face societal sanctions. At no point are you completely free to do as you choose in this regard.
Do you know what unbridled liberty is? Its anarchy. - LucasHenderson, on 06/24/2009, -0/+6Dugg for lols
- Daxx22, on 06/24/2009, -1/+7Sometimes, Eugenics doesn't look so bad...
- igyigyigy, on 06/25/2009, -0/+4They say licence as if there's a test, etc, really it's a tax. It hasn't been a licence in the normal meaning of the word in a long long time.
- MofS, on 08/13/2009, -1/+5Actually, thank the lawyers, judges, witnesses who helped sentence her, and the politicians who created those laws.
- inactive, on 06/24/2009, -0/+4I will also assume that you're joking. It's either that or you're outing yourself as a hopeless *****. Maybe clear up the confusion, what say?
- jbarkawi, on 06/24/2009, -0/+4Well, people like "dikky" exist. That pretty much sums it up for me.
- Apocalyptic0n3, on 06/24/2009, -0/+4That makes you as bad as the woman, then.
- lifeasariver, on 06/25/2009, -0/+3yeap
- eboy, on 06/24/2009, -1/+3sigh...
- lifeasariver, on 06/25/2009, -0/+2lol, what a retard.... just in case we were wondering what that criminal mother's thoughts were, we get a possible answer.
- Spire3660, on 06/24/2009, -1/+3And your point Y0tsuya? While children's rights are definitely curtailed, that does not mean that they still dont enjoy the protections of "Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness"
I mean not to be a dick, but did you even think before you posted? Of course we have special rules for children, that doesnt mean you can do with them as you wish. - diggcensors, on 06/25/2009, -0/+2Please try to understand.... why you may think that vigilanteism is effective, it is usually frowned upon in first world countries. We may all cheer vigilante justice, but ultimately it is better to let the judicial system handle the manner in a professional manner. In fact your description of this manner of justice is telling of the state of your country and why it will not be accepted into the first world in the near future.
Unfortunately Saudi Arabia's judicial system seems so antiquated by todays standards it is not surprising that people deal out justice themselves. I will direct you to the following link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_rights_in_Saudi ... Please note in particular the qoutation (its my favorite):
In the legal system, women face discrimination. An example of this is the requirements for testifying in criminal proceedings; The witness must be deemed sane, the age of an adult, and a Muslim. Non-Muslims may not testify in criminal court. Women may not testify unless it is a personal matter that did not occur in the sight of men. The testimony of a woman is not regarded as fact but as presumption. The reasons women are forbidden to testify in proceedings are (quote):[15][16]
Women are much more emotional than men and will, as a result of their emotions, distort their testimony.
Women do not participate in public life, so they will not be capable of understanding what they observe.
Women are dominated completely by men, who by the grace of God are deemed superior; therefore, women will give testimony according to what the last man told them.
Women are forgetful, and their testimony cannot be considered reliable.
As a result of these laws women are vulnerable in cases of assault and/or rape, as their testimony is treated as a presumption, while that of their attackers is accepted as fact. In some cases, victims of sexual assault are punished on the grounds that they should not be alone with unrelated males. It happened recently when a woman, victim of a gang rape, was sentenced by a Saudi court to six months in prison and 200 lashes for violating laws on segregation of the sexes, as she was in an unrelated man's car at the time of the attack. - bixel, on 06/25/2009, -0/+2Hey Australia, whats the deal here? its seems like every time I read an article of some child starved to death in a closet or locked in a closet its from Australia. (except that one case in Austria).
- Apocalyptic0n3, on 06/25/2009, -0/+2It's murder no matter who it is done to. I don't give a flying ***** if the person raped ten little girls, murdered 15 priests, committed three genocides, and robbed Mr. T. They should not be murdered. And the fact that you are suggesting that you go murder the person, to me that must mean, in your eyes, you deserve to be executed as well.
- t1nuSK4, on 06/24/2009, -1/+3Why no pictures? Need... more... outrage...
- charlie6969, on 06/25/2009, -0/+1It is just AMAZING, that level of indifference, cruelty.
Horrific and scary. - elmundio87, on 06/25/2009, -0/+1seriously, even if you don't watch BBC channels and stick the independent ones (the BBC is the one who enforces the paying of licence fees)
- Spire3660, on 06/24/2009, -0/+1I, of course was referring to 'real' oppression(i.e. starving, locked in closets for days, beaten with a wire hanger, etc.), not child perceived oppression.
Just to fend off the trolls. Starving != going to bed without supper, Locked in closet for days != time out for 20 mins. - inactive, on 06/24/2009, -1/+2no comment goddamn it
- woofer1125, on 06/24/2009, -0/+1sigh.
:( - anotherjack, on 06/26/2009, -0/+1That little girl and a little girl from Auschwitz would not say "oh, she suffers worse." Starving is starving is starving. The comparison is apt.
- anotherjack, on 06/26/2009, -0/+1That's because Australians come from Austria, dummy. Sheesh, it's right there in the name!
/s - inactive, on 06/25/2009, -0/+1apocalyptic0n3- Your words are strong but you seem to forget that opinions change when the situation is personal. If a man raped YOUR little girls, bobbed YOUR house, killed YOUR dog, shot YOUR mother, and mudered YOUR friends, you would not be satisfied if that man gets 30 days and a $500 fine because he pleaded insanity and got off with a slap on the wrist. When it's personal, you want blood.
- silverchrysalis, on 06/25/2009, -0/+1and forced sterilization.
- lydiasky, on 06/29/2009, -0/+1I can't believe she would say she didn't think the girl would die. Horrible.
- eliseville, on 06/25/2009, -0/+1People are horrific to eachother, especially when one person has complete control over the other. I am sorry to see the reference to any genocide put alongside as a comparison when the individual horror just cannot compare to millions.
- thebluelolly, on 06/25/2009, -0/+1Child abuse occurs at all levels of society, the rich, the poor, the educated, the un-educated. It is not limited to particular countries.
- AriaNoelle, on 06/25/2009, -0/+1Too bad it's considered cruel and unusual punishment to starve to death the freaks who stare to death innocent children.
