Morning wind shears halt Sky Harbor air traffic
azcentral.com — Sky Harbor officials detected wind shear from the west near the runways about 8 a.m., forcing three Southwest jets to land at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport. Isolated showers in the Valley dropped up to a quarter of an inch of rain and brought wind gusts up to 30 mph in some areas Monday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
