More Hassle, Fewer Flights This Holiday Season

abcnews.go.com — Longer lines, higher prices and fewer route options await airline travelers this holiday season as carriers cut back on flights. The cuts are happening across the country with dramatic decreases at Chicago's O'Hare, Houston, Dallas and Fort Worth airports.

    This is a recession, a real recession... We all know it, I don't know why it is so taboo for the government to just admit it at this point; stop tip-toeing around it like it can all be solved immeadiately.

  • ErickStevenson, on 10/20/2008, -0/+2Going to suck for International flights. My main problem with the airlines are the overbooking, if you're first flight is late for the connecting, it's going to suck even more trying to get a replacement... I've had a pretty bad encounter with that before.

    The final straw for me was when the gate attendandents closed the door to the plane in my face while I was in line - right after letting the people ahead of me on. Waiting around Hartsfield for 6 hours for the next flight sucked major ass.

    I used to take several flights a year, and now if I can't drive there, I don't go there.

  • thall, on 10/20/2008, -0/+1Next they'll adopt seating like on a bus: once all the seats are taken you have to stand. But with airlines you know they'll just start charging you extra if you want a seat.
