Political Cowardice, Liberalism, Ignorance and Stupidity are being taught by these school officials. So much for their education? PC gate keepers? Edu-crats tellings us what we can and can not say? Who gave them the right to what we can and can not say?
This young lady won her right to say what ever she wishes:
A. This is America - respect her right of free speech.
B. She did not condone murder or mayhem like Islamic-Neanderthals do.
C. She earned the grades, let her talk.
D. She was polite, straight forward and articulate.
E. She showed courage and individuality.
F. the grade given to the school officials for for being such good Americans.
Now I feel better after saying that! - Breticus07, on 10/11/2008, -1/+10I can understand people getting upset when a teacher mentions Jesus maybe because teachers are supposed to have a leadership role and people don't always want Christianity being taught to their kids. But this is different. This is a student speaking to other students. They are on the same level, doing something like this to a student is just being a dick.
- PersonalJesus, on 10/12/2008, -2/+1You same conservatives would be outraged if some kid thanked Allah in their Valedictorian speech.
Ever heard of "Separation of Church and State" (yes, this means PUBLIC schools)- Breticus07, on 10/12/2008, -0/+2Wow you know so much about me, go ahead and put me in my place because you know everything about me apparently. I'm a Christian and I respect what other people believe alright? Oh, and I do believe in separation of church in state if it really offends someone, but this did not take place in the classroom. So just to start you off on the right path, stop categorizing people.
- TriMarkC, on 11/04/2008, -0/+1If I remember correctly, I thought a federal judge already resolved this kind of issue years ago, in favor of the students. But the ACLU and a few other orgs keep misinforming school authorities, and worse, threaten to sue them if they allow it.
