Why would homosexuals be offended at the term, 'mom' or 'dad'. After all children from homosexual parents must surely call their parents mom or dad. It is an insult to our intelligence to suggest that banning these words somehow magically increase tolerance for homosexuals.

In addition to insulting traditional families, it will create chaos for kids who are NOT comfortable with this setup, and actually make the environment LESS friendly toward kids who don't have "traditional" identities. I see bullying, lawsuits -- all of that, and it's all so unnecessary! Radicalmiddle (several posts up) is ever so correct -- the governor has lost it.

      How many of today's queers BECAME so, because another queer molested them when they were a child... This eroded their self-esteem and their self-identity, and left them confused as to what "normal" really was. And, they found themselves drifting to other weak personalities where they felt more readily "accepted."

It a bit of a mess because s/he was married before the operation and is still married even though it is a "same sex marriage" now and not recognized by our state. (I wasn't present when the in-laws were told, but I did hear the explosion) I warned the gal who was married to this person that s/he might be looking to connect with other men and was assured that would never happen. Well, it's been two years and guess who is dating. Oh, yeah, I forgot to mention...the original couple have a teen age daughter, too. I keep telling my friend that soap opera writers pay money for stories like this, not to mention some of the sensational news rags out there. My friend did tell me that she occasionally feels like she is living in Ripley's Believe It or Not. If I didn't personally know the people involved,quite frankly, I wouldn't believe it, either.       I don't understand that mindset. Your first duty is to raise your kids right, and the public schools are a horrible influence on a Christian. School starts long before a kid has the ability to well understand that it's a mission field and that they should be acting different from their unchurched peers. They're going to grow up comfortable in that secular environment and not see themselves as strangers and aliens in the world, as they should. Kids in public school are far more likely to succumb to bad influence than they are to stand without compromising and be a good influence themselves. It's a risk we can't afford to take.

          Unfortunately I never have much success convincing anyone about this. They always just come back and say they want their kids to be able to relate to non-Christians, or they don't want to hide their light under a bushel, or any number of variations of the same tired argument. Maybe it's mostly because most of the people I discuss it with live in areas where the schools aren't so bad and Christianity is more welcome, so they don't see a need. I still do, though; even around here, a lot of the Christian kids in public school just don't seem to have as much passion for God.

We are to "train up a child in the way they should go, and when they are OLD they will not depart from it", we are not to just send them to Sunday school once a week for the first years of their life and then send them to a public education to be a witness... they are not READY yet, they are still children. Most malls now have a "Family" bathroom for parents with small children of the opposite sex that need supervision or assistance. Why not just do that in the schools. Designate one bathroom for the sexually confused and leave the rest alone? Why should the schools make this everyone's problem.

    My husband was commenting about a particular men's room that had an apparently unique floor plan and wound up his statement with "right?" I looked askance at him and then gently said, "I wouldn't know, I've never been in a men's room in my life." There was a brief pause and he burst out laughing. He did manage to choke out "I should certainly hope not!" or at least that's what I think he said....

I hardly find defending your rights as parents not to have your children exposed to this filth a racist, homophobic, or bigoted reaction! Only since the 1960s - I think that is when the beast was let out of his cage is when Christan's began to cower down in the name of political correctness in fear of being smeared as a racist. So freakin what. I have been called worse and proud of it! And it has been down hill ever since.

    Read the bible and you will see Christan's just did not walk away - they stayed a fought to the death for was was right and moral! And people on these posts are saying Christan's should just leave! What happens when the Christan's move to a new state and it will happen there too are you then gong to just leave again. You can't run forever because you will run out of places to go!

        What about the Protestant churches? There have been many instances of evangelical Church leaders being removed from the ministry or sent to jail due to sex sin or greed / theft. My premise is, "Since God has judged / is currently judging the "false American Church" already, how far behind can the rest of the "heathen" to be?

        I agree that the "hard-core" heathen will never repent due to a "hardening of their hearts", but when judgment does come, there will be those "fence sitting" heathens that will finally ask for forgiveness and repent. What a great day that will be. There will be a tremendous "in gathering" of the lost. The church membership will exploded with the newly saved....(there are no atheists in foxholes -- other than those that refuse to believe no matter what).

        Unfortunately it seems that all to often that only natural calamity will bring people to their knees to ask for forgiveness....perhaps that is what is needed to remind all Americans that the life we enjoy as citizens of this country can be suddenly taken away or changed. We need a national revival that only God can bring....either do this the easy way (by our submission to His will) or the hard way (by a receiving a reminder of who is really in control of all things).

        While God loves every sinner (and every person is a sinner)....He hates the sin. He provided an escape for all through the life, death and Resurrection of Jesus. All we need to do is ask for forgiveness and repeat. Once we do that, God is there waiting to heal our spirit and our life. It doesn't cost us a thing, Jesus paid the price of our rebellion. Why is it that something that is so easy...is so hard for people to accept? God will not withhold his judgment forever...it is inevitable.

So many Christians think that God views sin on a comparative basis, i.e., compared to a "fence-sitting" heathen, our lives are "fairly" holy. But God is a holy God and while we have Christ's imputed righteousness, as Christians we are also to be holy for He is holy.That means all of the folks who are living together, still smoking weed, still engaging in sexual sin (whether gay or outside the bonds of marriage), still using the same 4 letter words, etc., etc. etc. but are in church every Sunday, in small groups on the weeknights need to see themselves in light of God's word. Then humble themselves, repent and pray. Perhaps then God will heal our land. But I don't think that is going to happen without some severe persecution such as the early church in Acts experienced.

    3. While the first two are being implemented, slowly chip away at the social structure to create chaos and dependence on the unconstitutional federal government that is being erected! Attack the dominate religions as hateful and backwards. Destroy the family by pitting parents against each other by promoting feminism, sexual immorality and selfishness which makes kids emotionally confused and lays the groundwork for their own dysfunctional, doomed families and future generations! It would also be wise at this point to create confusing child abuse laws here. Put the idea in the parents and kids heads that spanking is a form of child abuse and if a parent spanks them, the kids can report the parents to the government! This will make the parents afraid to spank their children! Also make sure that the kids have a false sense of power so that they can disrespect and disobey their parents, which will result in more undisciplined and out of control young people committing crimes, using drugs, and creating children out of wedlock! Another way to insure social destruction and human dependence is to embrace a policy of serfdom! Destroy the middle class by moving good jobs to third world countries and let in millions of third world citizens to lower wages and further destroy the culture! Then with a policy of materialism you can sell the third world made goods to the new serfs with the availability of easy credit and the new serfs can bury themselves in debt and further become distracted! At this point it will also help if leftists celebrities also promote anti-Americanism through movies, music and literature! To further confuse the citizens, promote homosexuality as good and mainstream! Any one who objects can be labeled as religious nutcases!

    4. Rewrite history which will be taught in the new unconstitutional federal educational system by traitorous and evil leftist teachers who will indoctrinate the future generations. Teach the kids that their country and it's founders are evil, and make them into more confused and unpatriotic citizens!

    5. Now it's time for undermining national sovereignty by ratifying bad trade deals and treaties! By this time, the American people will be so stupid, so in debt, so confused, so spineless, so selfish, so immoral, so materialistic, so phony, and so burdened that they will never notice you selling out the country to the global elites and join with them to consolidate power on a global scale! And the ones who still object, label them as right wing extremists!

    6. At this point the United States of America is pretty much in the bag! Now you and your global elite buddies can move on to some other poor country that still has a sense of national identity and pride left! Good job!
