- sigmaman2, on 02/17/2009, -5/+206They would never have said "Take your son's medicine away." That would have been too direct.
Instead, they probably put some verbal gymnastics ahead of it:
"You are within your rights as a father if you..."
"You would be following your religious teachings if you..."
"Many people will be upset if you don't..."
"You are showing weakness to your ex when you don't..."
That way, they strongly suggest what they want without explicitly stating it. - justWog, on 02/17/2009, -9/+168HAHAHAH, i've noticed scilons are burying comments and diggs today... stop this *****!
- Duggan360, on 02/18/2009, -8/+156Thumbs up if Scientology should go eat ***** and die!

Thanks Ollie. - Rapheal99, on 02/18/2009, -17/+102***** THE CO$!!!!!!
we WILL NOT forgive.
we DID NOT forget.
they DID NOT expect us.
this has gone on long enough, and it is time they are ***** by the long dicks of the laws over 9000 penises. - Zervaman, on 02/18/2009, -6/+74DAMN YOU XENU, DAMNNN YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!
- no12u, on 02/17/2009, -12/+72@justWog I've noticed that too. Also, not one comment on any of the postings, just down digging. Well, we'll see how their stats are on Thursday. Abysmal I imagine.
whammyfuzz/ghummybear will go the way of Luana and Alael. Poof! - Trcoolguy, on 02/18/2009, -12/+70Inb4 a thousand people from 4chan make threats about Not forgiving/Forgetting, and expecting them to expect you, when you're 13 and never left your house.
- mikelieman, on 02/18/2009, -3/+55That's because your problems are caused by the Evil Thetans, which only their expensive, patented process of "Clearing" can fix.
But it ain't gonna be cheap, and your health insurance isn't gonna pay their bill. - MSUKate, on 02/18/2009, -4/+52All scientology is doing is reinforcing the stigma of mental illness. They tell sick people "no you aren't sick, you don't need medication, just give us all your money"
Its criminal. Its like telling a cancer patient that they aren't really sick because the tumor is actually cells that your own body made, so it *has* to be okay.
There is no other group of patients that are vilified and abused by the general public more than the mentally ill.
Telling a mentally ill person to just "snap out of it" is like telling a diabetic "just tell your pancreas to start making insulin" Its insulting
There are complex chemical reactions going on. - inactive, on 02/17/2009, -5/+51Already posted the link elsewhere..They can run,but they can't hide.
- Broschati, on 02/18/2009, -6/+51It's time for this cult to be brought to justice.
- inactive, on 02/18/2009, -3/+47I never understood why Tom Cruise, or Scientology, opposed anti-depressants. What's wrong with that? They are medications, and they help people. Sure, they're not the solution to everything, but preventing people from taking them -- even after experts recommended it?
- AshamedAmerican, on 02/18/2009, -1/+40Too late.
- Persian5Life, on 02/18/2009, -5/+44i feel bad for the kids family. Scientology is a cult that needs to be stopped, that's right i called you a cult don't like it sue me.
- Bekey, on 02/18/2009, -5/+44WHY does anyone still buy into this stuff?? How is it still possible for anyone to get sucked into scientology...?
- yocouchdigga, on 02/18/2009, -1/+38I was about to bury you and then I read: "it is time they are ***** by the long dicks of the laws over 9000 penises." and I lol'd.
- grungegbunny, on 02/18/2009, -4/+41Win or lose, I hope this raises greater awareness of this cult and its malicious practices.
- Duggan360, on 02/18/2009, -0/+35I used a reply button
- yocouchdigga, on 02/18/2009, -3/+36if she doesn't win, may Lord Xenu strike down the judge and jury with a Marcabian Fleet of epic proportions.
- MSUKate, on 02/18/2009, -2/+34They believe that psychiatric illnesses are really due to charachter flaws, and thus dont need medication. And that the medication interferes with becoming their own person, or some such nonsense.
As a person with psychiatric illness, I can tell you that the meds make you better, not worse.
If he had antidepressants, they may or may not have helped him, but if he was taken to a mental health professional they could have hospitalized him until the suicidal feelings subsided. That definitely would have saved his life. - Rapheal99, on 02/18/2009, -4/+36the scilons will not stop.
they are to here to assimilate.
and they are willing to overcome your resistance.
but resist we must, and destroy them we shall. - somedudemanguy, on 02/18/2009, -5/+36I reeeeeeaaaaaalllllllly hope she wins
- jmhyer51, on 02/18/2009, -2/+31^
Worst thing you can say on Digg. Seriously. - ThePoofyChicken, on 02/18/2009, -4/+32Scientology claims another victim,
- no12u, on 02/18/2009, -0/+26Typical non-answer from a scientologist. Lame.
- lilhelper, on 02/18/2009, -5/+31***** scientology. they are a cult.
Label them as a cult and prohibit their practice due to unsafe practices - no12u, on 02/18/2009, -2/+28His pills were taken from him and locked in a car. What if someone hid someone elses heart attack meds and then the dude has a heart attack? Can't get his pills and croaks? This must have happened on a TV show by now...
- Rivetgeek, on 02/18/2009, -1/+26Sense: You don't make any.
- no12u, on 02/18/2009, -0/+25Prove it. If Tom Cruise can control MEST (matter, energy, space and time) why can't he fly? Are you saying he can fly? Or are you saying he can control MEST in his imagination? No, the burden is on Scientology to prove it works which it can't 'cause it doesn't.
- subhantj, on 02/18/2009, -3/+26a video everyone should see:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rCGP-0545EU - directedition, on 02/18/2009, -0/+23Anti-depressants undermine the implied power of being audited. Why allow a follower to take medication when you can just charge them money to hold onto electrified cans?
- Tarkaan, on 02/18/2009, -2/+25L-Ron's gone, but the con goes on!
- babalonanon, on 02/18/2009, -1/+23The mother and kid who died were NOT scientologists. The father was. And the father, who the kid was visiting, hid the kid's meds, tried to force him to go to Narconon (scientology front) and left a loaded gun in a room with the kid after forcing him off meds. Advice followed from the cult "chaplain" who just happens to be the cult leader's twin sister.
- no12u, on 02/18/2009, -1/+23What article did you guys read?
- Scira, on 02/18/2009, -4/+25This could apply to anyone who believes in "spiritual healing" and "pray the sick away"
I always hope that something like this happens, for people who believe their god will more successfully treat their illness then modern medicine to have their condition worsen. But it never happens that way, its always the poor kids who get their parents crazy beliefs pushed onto them and suffer because of it.
Anyway, my point is that more then just scientology believe in the spiritual healing crap. - diskit, on 02/18/2009, -0/+21Google Lisa McPherson
- butyoulied, on 02/18/2009, -4/+25if its brought to florida court systems most likely this woman will win. the city of clearwater doesn't want them there.. this would just be one more nail in the coffin for shutting them down in the city.
- inactive, on 02/18/2009, -4/+25Another ***** Scientologist.
What the ***** do you dorks know about medication?
Nothing. - Lewie, on 02/18/2009, -0/+20[citation needed]
- no12u, on 02/18/2009, -1/+20Yeah, it works about as good as Tarot cards or wishful thinking. Trust me, you don't have to lecture me on researching hocus pocus.
- Timbo2702, on 02/18/2009, -0/+19Because medication might help you realize what a ***** insane cult you're in
- unorginalityftw, on 02/18/2009, -0/+19That's not scientific proof m3. You need test results and published evidence along the lines of a double or even triple blind study by someone outside of Scientology, all cataloged and gathered with full disclosure of who funded the study and took part afterward.
Till then, all we get from you is stories. That isn't proof, especially not over the Internet.
See, that's the thing. I'll stop treating Scientology as the pyramid scheme crap it is when I seem some proof positive otherwise from a non biased source out of the scientific community. - KingSkeletor, on 02/18/2009, -5/+23About time someone took action against this cult, too bad so many people have been killed under "mysterious" circumstances as a result of being part of scientology. What a load of crap. See you in hell L Ron Hubbard
- inactive, on 02/18/2009, -1/+19He was depressed. He could have been treated, but that was against the teachings of the cult of Scientology
- bluesman3535, on 02/18/2009, -1/+19Yep. Verbal psychological Judo is half their game, and some NLP-type techniques. It's obvious they teach a lot of drills in verbal combat to their followers, probably to make them seem quick-witted, confident and appealing. Wouldn't you like to pay for their materials and join them? I think the CO$ is terrible but this lawsuit is going nowhere. There are no COS actions forcing the son to do anything except from his lunatic father.
- gllopc, on 02/18/2009, -1/+19Uhhh... Lord Xenu's not do'n *****, as he's locked away in a prison powered by an eternal battery in the Pyrenees.
Gosh - get your alleged facts straight! :) - inactive, on 02/18/2009, -1/+19By frivolous organization you mean cult, right?
