'Mister Rogers' Neighborhood' won't be shown anymore on PBS
chicagotribune.com — But news that, starting Monday, "Mister Rogers" will disappear from the Schedules of many PBS stations —including WTTW-Ch. 11 in Chicago, as well as stations in Los Angeles and apparently New York—has legions of parents and other fans lamenting what they see as a timeless show's end.

- MACpistolDOTcom, on 09/05/2008, -0/+1The war against boys continues. The war against men continues. The war against simplicity continues. The war against quality programming continues. Mister Rogers WILL be back on the air. It is one of the only programs that teaches kids correct principles and perspective, especially from a good male (which is UNHEARD of and not allowed anymore because men are supposed to be portrayed as weak, disempowered, predators, or constantly sharing power and airtime with women).
- MACpistolDOTcom, on 09/05/2008, -0/+1Mister Rogers was too strong of a singular male figure so he had to be done away with. He had a particular benefit to boys so he had to be done away with. A show is allowed to appeal to only girls. A show is allowed to appeal to girls and boys. But a show that TEACHES, that mostly benefits boys is not allowed.
This is one more reason why you should get the TV away from your kids. It shuts off their brains and teaches them interdependence instead of independence. TV nowadays teaches kids WHAT to think (politically correct symbolic bullcrap) instead of HOW to think properly and productively like Mister Rogers did.
