Middle Class May Be Subject To Food Rations, Warns UN
prisonplanet.com — The UN is warning of a food shortage crisis and drawing up plans for food rations which will hit even middle-class suburban populations as inflation and economic uncertainty causes the prices of staple food commodities to skyrocket.

Oh, btw, the article didn't mention the following:

We have the lowest global grain stockpiles since 1960. The CEO of the largest producer of crop nutrients says we may start seeing famines.

- fosgene086, on 02/25/2008, -2/+13Well it seems the GOONS in charge will stop at nothing to execute their plan of complete control. If people knew how the food was processed and cattle and swine killed and squeezed out for every ounce of protein they would want to stop eating anyway. The aerial spraying campaign, horrible food standards from the FDA, assault from the tap water, mass murder at our hospitals with drugs and poor standards. Our children being poisoned at the local schools physically and(learning how to stay stupid) mentally. It’s just ashamed I did not (personally) wake up in time to buy a few years storable food. The last two years have seen every dollar I make going just to survive and put my children through private school. I hope the rest of you are in a better position than I for the engagement of End Game.
God Bless. - Cadmium77, on 02/25/2008, -3/+13Spam has a 40 year guaranteed preservation rate. You may turn your nose up at it now but when you can't buy food, cases of Spam in your basement may be as good as gold.
I got wise to all this when I read Solzinitsen's Gulag Archepelago; the Bolsheviks brought famine to Russia, the most fruitful productive land in the world. Artificial famine. They murdered millions like this. The Neocons are all direct descendants of the Trotskyite Bolsheviks. Mukasey, the new Attorney General and Chertoff both have parents who were Soviet officials. William Kristol's father Irving headed the 4th Internationale in Mexico.
They're TROTSKYITES folks, and they want to murder us, like they murdered 65 million innocent Russians, Armenians and Ukranians in the 20th century.

In it they advocated population control in the 3rd world using a variety of methods including using food as a weapon.

It's military service, not prison. What else (in your opinion) do our soldiers not deserve?- trumpydumpy, on 02/25/2008, -2/+7i wasn't bitching about people in the military, i was bitching about KBR stealing our tax dollars when SOMEONE IN THE ARMY SHOULD BE FEEDING HIM HIS FOOD. and apparently our soldiers don't deserve proper armor to keep them alive, but they just gotta have them omlettes. watch the documentary Iraq for Sale, it's pretty interesting. oh and BTW, I am sick of people telling me the only reason I have the freedom to speak or even live for that matter is because of the military. globalization and occupation are causing more strife and war than if our military had just stayed where they belong - in this country.
- jcm267, on 02/25/2008, -3/+8How much more does it cost the taxpayer for KBR to feed our troops instead of just having the military do it?

- ssn697, on 02/25/2008, -8/+8What country do you live in, cybor?
- cyborgmind, on 02/25/2008, -6/+9I live in America, the USA. I do research, unlike some of the people that respond on here. The answer to the question is: are you prepared?
- ssn697, on 02/25/2008, -5/+8Really? You do research? What countries are the UN discussing in this article?
- maxtangent, on 02/25/2008, -3/+4Because world food shortages only affect certain countries, right?
- ssn697, on 02/25/2008, -4/+6Ok, I will ask AGAIN. What countries are being discussed by the UN in this article?
- ssn697, on 02/25/2008, -4/+7Here, let me help you out, since you seem to only want to fear monger, not converse about the issue:
"Crop prices have soared as much as fourfold this decade because of increased demand for food in India and China, where hundreds of millions of people are moving up to the middle class and can afford to eat more meat from animals raised on grain- based feeds, Doyle said."
"There is a dietary shift occurring in China today, particularly amongst the young,'' Hugh Grant, chief executive officer of Monsanto Co., the world's biggest seed producer, said in a Feb. 6 interview. ``As protein consumption increases, as they move from fish to chicken, chicken to pork, and pork to beef, the demand for commodities increases almost by an order of magnitude.''
"Planting more crop land in Brazil and boosting yields from existing fields in China and Russia, where agricultural productivity has lagged behind the U.S. and Canada, may be needed to avoid food shortages, Doyle said."
"Potash Corp. is expanding output of potash by about 7 million metric tons a year in the next eight years as farmers seek to boost crop yields. The company currently can produce about 10 million tons." - SaraLiberty, on 08/16/2008, -1/+5And your motivation here is to converse? You seem to only want to deny government responsibility & misconduct, rather than humanely acknowledge it. The US would not be immune to food rations, the project is global in scope. Here let me help you:
"The US Department of Agriculture warned this week that high agricultural commodities prices would continue for at least the next two to three years."
USDA. Guess what country they control agriculture production, supply and distribution in? What makes you think the plan is only reserved for other countries? They won't make any announcement here until it's too late. Like overly-inflated gasoline prices at the pump, it will happened literally overnight.
"The warning coincides with a speech by William Lapp, of US-based consultancy Advanced Economic Solutions, who cautioned that rising agricultural raw material prices would translate this year into sharply higher food inflation."
"US-based consultancy". Are they strictly making decisions to affect only overseas U.N. sanctioned countries and not the US?
Clearly, the US is not insusceptible as their officials, consultancies and agencies are responsible for this policy.
Note this quote, linked from a related story within the article:
“I think we need to tell the American consumer that prices are going up,” “We’re seeing cost increases that we’ve never seen in our business.”

This will directly affect the poor and middle class. - maxtangent, on 02/26/2008, -0/+5Food prices have shot up over the last decade? Then why is it that local farmers can't even make a living around here growing wheat?
- floatingorb, on 02/27/2008, -0/+3I'm pretty upset over that whole concept--have been for years; They cut down the rain forests to make grazing land for 'cattle speculation' to pay their 'debt' to the 'developed nation' (and ohh, I meant to leave the 's' off).
- jcm267, on 02/25/2008, -11/+11So this time it's definitely going to happen?

- Hortnon, on 02/26/2008, -3/+7No, it does. They just call it large. It's the same size as Super-Size was. And they know when you say "super-size" to put in large.

Tooooooooooooo late. - freedomwv, on 02/25/2008, -2/+3dammit. This the first time something like this has come out. If food riots do happen the situations in many countries will get real bad. Most of the first-classed advanced nations will more than likely be just fine, unless a major break down in trade agreements falls apart between several nations around the same time.
- maxtangent, on 02/25/2008, -2/+4Yet, strangely enough, local farmers don't even bother planting wheat because there is no market for it and there hasn't been one for years.
Even though there are predictions that bread could go up to $5 a loaf, that will only add 2 cents a bushel to the farmers' income.
How, exactly, does that work? - Solutionary, on 02/25/2008, -2/+5All everyone does on digg is state the obvious over and over and over. We all know the globalists are orchestrating all of this.
