    If anyone has researched, they understand that the far right-wing had a great deal of influence on the matter.

    LBJ was a fairly a right-wing hawk, but apparently the far right-wing extremists of the GOP used misinformation propaganda to influence him.

    Back then, the Democratic party was very different & included some war hawks, like LBJ.
