  • iancgi, on 08/25/2008, -0/+9The main reason drugs are illegal is, the money they make by putting people in prison fot it, the countless Rx drugs it will replace as a natural safe alternative, and the fact that drugs like marijuana, mushrooms, peyote open the mind.

    These are some of the oldest drugs used by humans. For millennium they were know to be sacred plants. They were respected and used for their positive effects, these plants were honored as food of gods because of the knowledge they bestowed upon their users.

    The latter being the top reason as to why they are so demonized in today's culture.
  • poprocksandsoda, on 08/25/2008, -1/+1Your pot dollars at work pro-pot diggers. Thank God I've managed a whole life with no drug use and I don't have blood on my hands like many of you do. If you don't feel a sense of shame then you're not man enough to admit your role in this kind of stuff. The real answer is "STOP USING DRUGS" because it funds violent crimes, not "LEGALIZE DRUGS" because it deters violent crimes. How many criminals are sitting behind bars because "THEY WERE HIGH" and didn't use their judgement before "ROBBING/KILLING/BEATING/STEALING"? That won't stop when they can go down to the quickstop and load up their pipe while crusing aimlessly around on a Friday night. You've obviously never spent a minute in reality if you believe otherwise. And don't give me this responsible use crap, because the fact is most drugs are illegal because housewives were huffing them in the early 1900's to the point of being frozen.

      Oh my god. You're obviously far to perfect of a human being who's obviously never touched a single drug laced cup of coffee or soft drink, or even alcohol. What are we thinking by not handing the entire country over to your uncalled for nanny care. It has been total chaos before you came along.
