- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+93Wouldn't nearly anyone be feeling fear? Why is this news?
- bouche, on 10/12/2007, -10/+89yeah, he should have went out with more charm and mooned the world ;)

Well, he must have been seeing fear if he was being filmed with a Sony camera...
Just kidding, they're pretty nice. You may Digg me down now. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -10/+80Took me a while to find it among all the fake ones on YouTube, but here it is. It shows up to the noose tightening, then a shot of the body.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vhcsnaf4148 - Optimus, on 10/12/2007, -23/+89>>who gives a ***** if he saw fear? He should have been tortured the same way he tortured others and experience fear over a lifetime.
An eye for an eye makes everyone blind. What's your opinion on the US soldiers that tortured Iraqis in Abu Ghraib? Should the same be done to them? Let me know, tnx. - tholder, on 10/12/2007, -0/+44No *****! Digg amazes me... I'm off to post a topic "Man know's he's gonna die... he's a little bit agitated."
- calbff, on 10/12/2007, -11/+54@23r17i05o42n:
As much as I'd love to debate your brilliant point, I think I can sum it up better with "***** off and die". - yzerizef, on 10/12/2007, -10/+45Yes, I wept all night long and am holding a candlelight vigil at the moment. What about you? Are you going to beat off to the video of him hanging, 23r17i05o42n? Congratulations. From now on, every time I need the absurd input of a complete ***** retard, I'll come to you.
- dgh1973, on 10/12/2007, -9/+43The big question I still have is "why did we even bother"?
The sanctions were working fine, he hadn't attacked his neighbors since the 90's, we found no WMD's... the whole thing was just a pointless exercise in seeing how quickly we can destabilize the middle east and kill American soldiers.
I just don't get it... all that money and time should have been used toward finding Bin Laden and the people responsible for 9/11. Instead they give us smoke and mirrors and the hanging of a man completely innocent regarding the deaths of about 3,000 people on our soil. Sure, Hussein was a bastard and killed his neighbors (and even some of his own) but if we spend all of our time going after *****-head dictators we'll have no money and no soldiers left.
Pointless. - olddirtycr, on 10/12/2007, -4/+37because a lot of people see Saddam as someone with no emotions, no regard for human life, etc. This prooves he indeed does have fear and emotion
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+30Isn't everyone who gets ready to be hanged or executed afraid?
- smitting, on 10/12/2007, -0/+24Why is being concerned with the backlash of turning a bad man into a martyr considered "liberal crying"?
- Zadkiel, on 10/12/2007, -2/+26Who wouldn't be afraid to die?
- z00k, on 10/12/2007, -15/+35As sick as it seems... I'm waiting for the full video of him hanging.

You have to give the Arabs credit. They know how to hand out justice to their political war criminals. Over here we let them ride out the rest of their term and then pardon them without shame. - AchmedChan, on 10/12/2007, -2/+21Neither is Tupac, he just released a new album!
- tizz66, on 10/12/2007, -3/+19How many lives has the US saved by invading Iraq?
Note: I expect you to include the deaths *caused* by the US invading, in your equation. - bebop717, on 10/12/2007, -7/+22And now that he's dead peace is restored to Iraq.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -14/+29George Bush has officially said that he is not pursuing Osama Bin Laden, that he doesn't know where he is and that he doesn't care. Your president has abandoned you like the ***** traitor he is.
- satanatnmtedu, on 10/12/2007, -13/+28What about being hooked up to wires and being threatened with electrocution?
How about being threatened with dogs?
What is your religion? Are there things that would be offensive to your religion that we could threaten you with?
How would you like to be water boarded?
There is no way that the US can claim the moral high ground when we torture? - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -6/+20If China invades us I want to be an insurgent too.

- venicerocco, on 10/12/2007, -5/+17Why do these morons think that "Defending America" means supporting Bush's policies?
As far as I'm concerned I am supporting and defending America by REJECTING Our leader's failed policies. I regard them as dangerous. You morons think that us liberals hate America when we simply disagree with the policies of the Bush Admin.
Your pathetic little argument can be flipped on it's head in an instant: Defending America means rejecting neo con policies. - fredrated, on 10/12/2007, -8/+20"I don't think our soldiers would think much of having to wear panties on thier head or making a naked pyramid. Sure beats getting beheaded."
What about being beaten to death, something that has happened numerous times to people in our custody? - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -7/+18I think a LOT of people are choosing not to think about how much worse a dictator Bush would be if he could get his greedy claws into a 30 year term instead of the 8 maximum he can have.
Just look what hes done in the 6 years in office hes already had! Sadam would have been proud! - tweaked, on 10/12/2007, -3/+14"The only "***** traitors" in this country are the sick and pussified liberals like yourself. Have some balls and stand behind your ***** country you flip-flopping piece of *****"
hahahhahahahhahhahhahh
Oh, lord. This takes today's cake for the most retarded thing I've read on the internets. There's just so many layers of idiocy! I mean, first, we have the assumption that saying anything bad about GWB implies you're demeaning the country of the United States itself. Then we have the equation of patriotism and masculinity, with the implication that criticizing one's president/country is somehow an inherently feminine trait. And then, as icing on this lovely cake of doublespeak, this troglodyte throws in the term "flip-flop" just because Karl Rove and his flacks told Amurrica that this was Something that Liberals Did, and that it was most certainly Bad.
The beauty of this kind of kneejerk propaganda (aside from it not requiring an intelligence far greater than shower mould) is that it's impossible to refute. I mean, to logically deconstruct and refute an argument, it has to BE AN ARGUMENT. It has to pay at least a rough sort of lip service to the basic rules of logic. People like "fix8ed" don't so much 'speak,' as they do '***** with their mouths.'
(Or, in this case, typing fingers.)
PS. I didn't believe 'somebitches,' either. Figured GWB was too savvy to admit something like that. Looks like I was wrong:

" Q But don't you believe that the threat that bin Laden posed won't truly be eliminated until he is found either dead or alive?
THE PRESIDENT: Well, as I say, we haven't heard much from him. And I wouldn't necessarily say he's at the center of any command structure. And, again, I don't know where he is. I -- I'll repeat what I said. I truly am not that concerned about him. I know he is on the run. I was concerned about him, when he had taken over a country. I was concerned about the fact that he was basically running Afghanistan and calling the shots for the Taliban." - Beaver6813, on 10/12/2007, -2/+13I hope it comes out as Sony say "A crisp crystal picture compared to standard tv". Nothing beats a HDHanging!
(Do i really have to put /sarcasm for that, as obvious as it was) - flr666, on 10/12/2007, -6/+16Propaganda guys. Of course MSNBC and Fox were dumb enough to fall for it. What else is new?
I saw no fear in the video I saw and the judge who was there to witeness the event told the bbc that he went out defiant to the end. - venicerocco, on 10/12/2007, -12/+22@ fix8ed.
Go find Osama then.
Because your President sure as hell won't. - antiintel, on 10/12/2007, -6/+16People know how to click links for themselves. You don't need to repost the whole stinking article.
- matts0344, on 10/12/2007, -6/+16Maybe you should blame the insurgents?
- Ag3ntOrang3, on 10/12/2007, -2/+12This is actually pretty scary. How are we any better than him at this point? An eye for an eye is not the way to peace in Iraq or any country for that matter. The only ones so far that have it right are the Amish. I despise religion but at least the Amish understand that fueling anger and hate with more anger and hate will only make things worse. Go ahead, digg me down.

- dgh1973, on 10/12/2007, -8/+17I've been appalled at the state of my government for the past 6 years.
- Mu99ins, on 10/12/2007, -4/+13There is no equivalency between the criminal acts of rogue guards
and criminal acts of state. They are both to be denounced and
punished. And both are derived of abuse of power. But the
criminal acts of rogue guards, as in Abu Gharib, or any other
jail or prison in any other country, are not the result of state policy.
Saddam's crimes were state policy and resulted in mass murder.
Tears shed for Saddam should properly be shed for his victims
and their friends and families.

Lick my ***** you piece of *****, im not an American. Oh whats that? I didnt counter your argument properly? Perhaps you could try countering MY ***** argument you ***** infested rectal cavity. Bush has stated publicly that he doesnt know where Bin Laden is and that he doesn't care - go and look up the ***** quote and watch the ***** video of the ***** words coming out of his own ***** mouth if you dont believe me. Oh and talking of flip-floppers, only a few months before that quote he claimed that finding Bin Laden was his top priority! EAT MY FECAL DROPPINGS - tizz66, on 10/12/2007, -4/+13Don't be appalled by America, be appalled by the government there. It's not the average Americans fault, just like it isn't our fault that Tony Blair is a dick.
- ScottMaximus1, on 10/12/2007, -3/+12DANCE PARTY
- Schpariel, on 10/12/2007, -12/+21The thing that pisses off to no end is the timing of the execution. It is the Eid (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eid_ul-Adha), the US & the puppet Iraqi government chose this date to insult every single Muslim on this planet; and to fuel the flames of sectarian violence among the Muslims in Iraq.
I wonder what the people in Iraq are cheering for? They didn't even execute him with their own hands. Everything was done by the US-controlled government.
I feel sorry for Iraq; the current US administration makes Saddam look like an amateur. They divided Iraq, killed a lot more innocent people than Saddam and they're fanning the flames of sectarian violence now. - foolfromhell, on 10/12/2007, -8/+17@calbff

Just so you're aware, the "eye for an eye" rule from Hammurabi was to *decrease* violence. At the time, everything was punishable by death.
Not to say your analogy is less apt in this context. - pcx99, on 10/12/2007, -8/+15There were a few small reasons that all added up to something big.
It was expensive to enforce sanctions and no-fly zones ( remember too that Saddam was shooting at our pilots who were doing this ). President Bush Sr. always considered leaving Saddam in power was a flaw in his legacy, something President Bush Jr. was well aware of. Those were no doubt small factors, the much larger ones -- and you have to remember this was all on the heels of 9/11 most people have gone to great lengths to suppress what things were like in the aftermath....
Iraq borders Syria, Saudi Arabia and Iran -- all poster boys of radical Islam. Syria supports terrorism directly, Iran funds it and supports it world-wide covertly, Saudi Arabia's citizens were funding it. Pull out a map and you'll see. Syria and Iran were in the axis of evil speech so they were already high on our radar. Now with Iraq's oil under sanctions there was no way to address Saudi Arabia or Iran without decimating the global energy supply so on paper invading Iraq would free up enough oil that we could blackmail Saudi Arabia and if we had to, take out Iran without leaving our European friends without their oil supplies.
And the only thing it would "cost" would be the removal of a brutal, repressive dictator who gassed his own people.
Of course following the invasion Iran and Syria and Al-quida managed to keep the country destabalzied so most of the original goals weren't met (mostly because international opposition to the war prevented addressing Syria and Iran) but with several hundred thousand troops on their border and control of some substantial oil reserves in Iraq, at least Saudi Arabia started clamping down on their citizen's funding, something they were unwilling to do before we took over Iraq. And of course Lybia came clean about its nuclear program (and Iran/Syria) as well, so there WERE some benefits to the invasion.
But don't fall into the trap of thinking the unrest in Iraq is the will of its people, nope, it's just a pawn of Syria and Iran in a raw, naked powergrab. Shrug. It's the truth but going negative digs in 5 4 3 2.... - Tivor, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Propaganda or not, I don't see the point of this news.
I mean, it doesn't even matter whether Saddam really showed fear or defiance. It really doesn't.
Americans and other anti-Saddam people will say, "Well, duh, he was gonna die. Of course he showed fear."
Pro-Saddam Arabs will say, "American lies! It's propaganda designed to belittle a great Arab leader!!" - OpCzar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Stop with the teasers! Gimme the ugly reality and I'll choose to either view it or not. I don't need some self-righteous person telling me that's all I need to see, jeez.

***** yeah! - Arkonnan, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8> But the criminal acts of rogue guards, as in Abu Gharib, or any other jail or prison in any other country, are not the result of state policy.
According to Don Rumsfeld and various Generals involved, the methods of torture which were used at Abu Ghraib were in fact "policy" of the State. - captjc, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7except for heroes and the insane
