Man sentenced to nearly 10 years in death of his girlfriend

kansascity.com — A man convicted of killing his girlfriend in a house explosion 4 years ago was sentenced Friday in Wyandotte County District Court to nearly 10 years in prison. Judge Thomas L. Boeding sentenced Charles Bridges, 49, of Kansas City, Kan., to 9 years and nine months shortly after Bridges turned to his victim’s family and asked them for forgiveness.
