- isseki, on 02/27/2008, -2/+116damn those crazy viral campaigns...
- RuffRidr, on 02/27/2008, -22/+121How many stabbings need to happen before we can get some common sense knife laws? These assault knives have to be banned now. I also want to see a 30 day waiting period on all cutlery. Finally we must close the "kitchen department" loophole. Its for the children. Thank you.
- ahatter, on 02/27/2008, -7/+77He did it because of video games.
- moxillaq, on 02/27/2008, -1/+40Wasn't that the opening of Scream 2?
- Silentnite85, on 02/27/2008, -2/+35For the record I own a gun. And I use it to do things other then shoot people. I use it to open pop cans, soup cans. Start the TV. Keep the remote out of friends hands. Untie my shoes. Open the window.
Lots of uses other then just shooting people. Think outside the box. - dondara, on 02/27/2008, -0/+29You don't know that.
- MyNamesTaken, on 02/27/2008, -1/+23From IMDB......
"A horror film told in three parts from three perspectives, in which a mysterious transmission which invades every cell phone, radio and TV, turning people into killers."
Looks like that transmission somehow invaded that movie screening. - moofer, on 02/27/2008, -0/+21As if paying $10 to sit in a sticky theater, get bombarded with commercials, and have the back of your seat repeatedly kicked by someone talking on a cell phone wasn't bad enough...
- Fadakar, on 02/27/2008, -3/+22Scary thing is, I was supposed to be there, fortunately my girlfriend convinced me to see Vantage Point. Wasn't worth it but still better than being stabbed in the arm.
- moofer, on 02/27/2008, -0/+17too bad the movie doesn't come to life during adult films.
- dino74, on 02/27/2008, -6/+22This wouldn't be a story if it was in "Welcome Home, Rosco Jenkins"
- exomni, on 02/27/2008, -2/+16Next up on Fox News: interview with Movie Theater Stabbing Expert Jack Thompson.
- scarysnow, on 02/27/2008, -0/+14Incidentally, this is something I've always been afraid might happen when I see horror movies in theaters.
- exomni, on 02/27/2008, -4/+17I've felt like stabbing a few people in theatres... "DID HE KILL HER??? DID SHE CALL THE COIN TOSS?? YEAH HE WERE CHECKIN' HIS BOOTS SEEE?"
- moofer, on 02/27/2008, -0/+11Stop watching gay adult films.
- RuffRidr, on 02/27/2008, -0/+10Under my 1 knife a month plan, you would have to wait 50 months to build up such an arsenal.
- Rahodeb, on 02/27/2008, -0/+8You can have my knives when you pry them from my cold, dead hands. Besides, I use my super-auto knife thrower 9000 to carve the thanksgiving turkey...and keep the government at bay...
- mrgreg, on 02/27/2008, -1/+9So you're telling me that people that use handguns in competition shooting are using them wrong? Clearly, they're not killing anyone, so they must not be using them for their "intended purpose." Idiot.
- mattletron, on 02/27/2008, -1/+8Publicity stunts are just getting out of hand.
- sonaboy, on 02/27/2008, -0/+6Since the victim was loudly talking on his cell phone the entire movie, I'm not saying I condone the attacker's behavior...
but I understand. - Haohmaru, on 02/27/2008, -0/+5I hope this doesn't happen to me when I see "Horton Hears a Who"
- Gerfervonbob, on 02/27/2008, -0/+5I don't think more legislation and government control is the answer, If someone really wants a knife they will get one.
- SheilaNoya, on 02/27/2008, -3/+7You need a geography lesson.
- Murdats, on 02/27/2008, -5/+9knives are a tool.
- KSUdesigner, on 02/27/2008, -6/+10I don't think black people are the only ones who talk.
- voltagasm5000, on 02/27/2008, -1/+4Buried for incredibly ***** journalism, if you could even call it that.
"Well, imagine watching this scary movie in a near empty theater....Then imagine, possibly during a stabbing scene (it's a pretty intense horror movie, so the odds are there), that you are getting stabbed yourself. Yeah, that happened to two men in separate parts of the theater when another patron yielded a knife."
WTF??? - DuckofDeath11, on 02/27/2008, -1/+4My father has a hand gun that he takes out when he goes fishing and bow hunting. It's for shooting wolves or bears if he gets attacked. But yeah, sometimes he just shoots people. I mean, that's the sole purpose of hand guns, right?
- cwilson, on 02/27/2008, -1/+4Oh, I don't know about that. Who knows what you'll get "stabbed with" at that show.
- mysteryhead, on 02/27/2008, -0/+3Yeah... so this stabber must have just watched it... I think we should start a movement to get the opening of Scream 2 changed to a different scene, possible one involving math.
- MadEnvoy, on 02/27/2008, -0/+3Yep. They were both penned at the same time but are completely different, well except the concept that is.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Signal_%28film%29 - urbandistrict, on 02/27/2008, -1/+4OC is to LA as SF is to Humbolt
- WhereAmI, on 02/27/2008, -1/+3I'm not making that argument. I want gun control. In the form where the responsible people get it.
If you don't want a gun thats fine, stop trying to take my guns away. - inactive, on 02/27/2008, -0/+2I stopped going to movies in San Jose years ago after a man in a nearly empty multiplex was shot in the back of the head by a gang member doing it as initiation. Brrr. Home theatre for me forever.
- UglyBunny, on 02/27/2008, -0/+2As crazy as this story is, this article was pretty poorly written. I couldn't even finish the article and just clicked on the source it provides.
http://cbs2.com/local/Stabbing.Fullerton.The.2.662 ... - brundlefly76, on 02/27/2008, -1/+3How about "There Will Be Blood?"
- Zombi, on 02/27/2008, -0/+2People that don't have movie theaters in their houses. Do you really support what you've just said?
- nicktripp, on 02/27/2008, -0/+2I ordered my set for two easy payments and one really hard payment.
- positron, on 02/27/2008, -1/+3Buried for associating JT with Indiana Jones.
- vernacularninja, on 02/27/2008, -1/+3As if people talking through an entire damn movie wasn't bad enough, now I have to bring body armor?
- RuffRidr, on 02/27/2008, -2/+4People with concealed carry permits are around right now in all kinds of places that you frequent. So by your logic, MORE shootings by concealed weapons permit holders should be happening right now. Please refer me to some of these news reports! Bonus points if you can provide one where innocent bystanders were caught in the CCW holders crossfire.
- urbandistrict, on 02/27/2008, -1/+3Well, it would have totally been inappropriate if it was during a romantic comedy.
Man stabbed 13 times by his pregnant wife, as they were watching Juno. Witnesses say she was screaming "You did this to me, you bastard!" - CharlesSaint, on 02/27/2008, -3/+5Hence why I didn't digg him down. It's almost become par for the course around here, quickly approaching youtube's handicap.
- Antialias, on 02/27/2008, -9/+11If someone in the audience had a knife, they could have prevented this horrible crime.
/sarcasm
The gun people always make the argument that if everybody had guns, these sorts of things wouldn't happen. The fact is that unless you've got the gun in a holster or in your hand, 5 or 6 people would be dead before you could do anything anyway. And often the killer has killed themselves before anybody realizes what is going on anyway. - Silentnite85, on 02/27/2008, -1/+3Or pay attention when someone shouts "LOOK BEHIND YOU!"
- LordFate, on 02/27/2008, -0/+2Sounds like a publicity stunt.
How to make a scary movie scarier?
"Hey, did you know two guys got stabbed watching this movie?" *looks over shoulder every 5 minutes for the rest of the film. - RuffRidr, on 02/27/2008, -4/+6Well, if 5 or 6 people are going to be dead anyway, we might as well let him go on and kill 20 or 30. Is that your logic?
- abraxas88, on 02/27/2008, -0/+2I live miles away from this theatre (the AMC Fullerton 20). The theatre is split into half. You have the ticket box outside, and half of the theatres in one building to the left, and the rest of the theatres in a seperate building to the right.
Barely anyone works there and it's barely ever busy except on Fri and Sat nights to a small degree (some of their theatres don't even have stadium seating...thats how old the place is!)
Scary part of the story is that I wanted to see that movie that night! I was thinking the same theatre too! - k4ng, on 02/28/2008, -0/+2This theater is really close to my high school. I'm away at college now but my friends and I've been to it a couple of times. We usually head over to the Edwards in Brea instead of this theater because it's really old and shady with lots of homeless people hanging around. Last night my little sister called me and said that a father that lives in our neighborhood snapped and killed his wife and three of his four kids. And now this... It's kinda unsettling because it's a pretty nice suburban city with relatively low crime rate.
- neverend3r, on 02/27/2008, -0/+2cool i work less then a mile away from that theater. I've been to it a few times too
