- inactive, on 06/27/2009, -23/+372About time we needed a reminder that this ***** was going on in Iran.
BOO HOO a famous person died, that doesn't mean all the news coverage should go to those two people. The Iran unrest is way more important to world events than nature taking its course on two "celebrities". - Lefts, on 06/27/2009, -3/+279"There is a crowd in the Square protesting against our brutality!"
"Go shoot them, that should work."
Brilliant! - newman8r, on 06/27/2009, -8/+228just randomly shooting at people in the street... it's time for this regime to fall
- vacax, on 06/27/2009, -4/+179Dugg because you won't see this on CNN since they are too busy talking about Michael Jackson
- DemiRonin, on 06/27/2009, -0/+150Holy ****, those protestors are brave
- inactive, on 06/27/2009, -8/+150We're all behind you citizens of Iran, you have been oppressed long enough
- siyengar, on 06/27/2009, -10/+116This is precisely the reason why we don't want apocalyptic weaponry in the hands of those who have messiahnic ideology. If you don't adhere, you get shot. There is nothing like freedom of speech in an Islamic country and pretty much all of the third world. We must liberate ourselves from the clutches of religion at any cost.
- Feraldr00d, on 06/27/2009, -7/+94Really, dude, really? Someone is ***** dead. This isn't a ***** video game, it's not Halo ***** 2, someone lost their ***** life for no ***** reason and all you can say is headshot?!?!? You are beyond infuriating, beyond ignorant, beyond trolling. *****'s sake man, have some respect, these people are getting shot for protesting a violent regime, it's not a goddamn joke, it's reality! Reported and blocked, and you sure as hell deserve it!
- proliance, on 06/27/2009, -28/+90NSFW
- ZenDriver, on 06/27/2009, -1/+59We have the privilege of living in a society virtually sterilized of violence. Sure sure, we turn on the TV and hear about the sort of crime that gets committed and we seem to really love violent movies, but as a society, the US really has no connection to the fact that governments in much of the world are violent, tyrannical thugs.
We put our hands on our hearts at ballgames and sing a national anthem about "Bombs bursting in air," and we all voice appreciation for our founding fathers (who defied the era's mighty global superpower) and our vets who fought in a war most of us only know from movies. We have, however, totally lost what it REALLY means for the citizens of a nation to stand up to their government. We have no idea what it REALLY means when we hear of brutal governments across the globe. We have no idea what it REALLY means to die in the name and actions of a national cause.
Watching videos like this from Iran has made me so very appreciative of those Americans who went before us to build this country. Even with all of it's flaws, economic waves and political upheavals, I am glad that we live under the privileges we do and I have nothing but admiration for the people of Iran who are standing up to be counted.
Videos like this remind a numb and disconnected population what words like "Freedom" actually mean. It is not some patriotic political punchline, twangy song chorus or cheesy image of a teared up bald eagle. Freedom is the thing earned when citizens stand up for themselves, and often pay in blood. - ThePhone, on 06/27/2009, -3/+50Oh, I got the perfect joke!
So, Farrah Fawcett dies and goes to heaven. Once she gets up to the Pearly Gates, God meets her and says "Farrah, I must say that I and a lot of other folks up here absolutely loved Charlie's Angels." Farrah, being surprised and flattered is at a loss for words. "Thank you," she finally says. God replies, "I mean, you are just so great. That poster of you in the red bikini? I've had hanging over my desk for decades." Farrah Fawcett, speechless says "Wow, I really don't know what to say!" finally God says, "Farrah, I love you so much that I am going to do something for you that I rarely do for the recently deceased; I'm going to grant you one wish. Whatever you wish will be my command."
Farrah was shocked. Not wanting alter God's opinion of her, she comes up with the most selfless wish that she can possibly think of: "I wish that all the children of the world never be harmed and not one of them live their lives in fear." God replies "That might be the most noble and selfless wish that I have ever heard. It shall be done."
Moments later, a very confused Michael Jackson arrives at the gates of Hell. - fs88, on 06/27/2009, -5/+51Just like the other video where that woman was shot and killed I won't be watching this video either. I cant imagine what was going on through these peoples minds during those last seconds as they looked for help and only to see someone pointing a camera at them. Just having these videos described to me literally sickens me to my stomach. I wish I had something profound to say about these people dying for a revolution but ***** that im not going to rationalize these deaths like that. These were people who died scared, alone, and in the streets. No one should have to go like that. NO ONE.
- fearthefin, on 06/27/2009, -2/+46Understood, but what's been on the front page of CNN the last twenty four hours?
The media inundates us with one story, then quickly moves on to the other. The situation in Iran is already fading away from the American public's conscience. - David20321, on 06/27/2009, -0/+40The only way you can help these people is to tell their stories.
- epyon180, on 06/27/2009, -4/+40Thanks for that warning bro, I never would have guessed that a video titled "Man Gets Shot In The Head...." with giant WARNING under it explaining the disturbing content would be NSFW.
Honestly, anyone who would actually get in trouble for pulling this video up at work thinking that it would be safe should get fired.
Prepares to get dugg down for telling the truth. - NSoklofske, on 06/27/2009, -0/+35This is EXACTLY this kind of thing that needs to be on dig. World exposure should be mandatory.
- redskyformiles, on 06/27/2009, -0/+34dude, not cool.
- jwkpiano1, on 06/27/2009, -1/+33Um, david? That sounds like they were taken down for copyright infringement, not content. Are you sure it was for content? There's tons of inappropriate stuff on YouTube.
By the way, you have no right to enforce your opinion on abortion on women. It is their right to decide, not yours, as a man. - OptionalPirate, on 06/27/2009, -0/+31fatpiglazy2. A fitting name for a simpering *****.
- Teloe, on 06/27/2009, -9/+40They can't hear you.
- yocouchdigga, on 06/27/2009, -2/+33***** up.
- yocouchdigga, on 06/27/2009, -1/+31syntax, you crack me up, kid.
- unsocialentity, on 06/27/2009, -3/+32(obviously)
- inactive, on 06/27/2009, -0/+28This isn't a ***** joke. A man just died for something we take for ***** granted. You make me sick.
- mickstephenson, on 06/27/2009, -1/+27@daviddavid, You're dugg down because you're a comment hijacker, even if it is for sake of activism.
You can't take every unrelated oppurtunity to shove it in our faces.
Here is how I feel about abortion, its not my place to decide, and no amount of shocking imagery is gonna change my opinion on that. In some countries people eat the placenta after birth that doesn't change my opinion on birth, or placenta eating or the people who do it, but I don't want to watch it.
Will people learn that shocking images has nothing to do with the real issue, they are just cheap tactics and it cheapens the issue.
Btw I watched your video, it wasn't as entertaining as 3 guys 1 hammer, 2 stars. - inactive, on 06/27/2009, -14/+39I'm sorry. I'm capable of being concerned about more than one thing at a time. Is that a problem for you?
- Lefts, on 06/27/2009, -1/+26It's only cowardly when you point them at the unarmed.
- mitikomon, on 06/27/2009, -0/+25we can hear you. and thank you for your support.
- vizerei, on 06/27/2009, -11/+36While my heart goes out to the Iranians and I personally support them in their struggle for liberty, I can't help but get pissed at people on the comments of the Iranian articles saying how America needs to learn from these riots and start our own riots for liberty. That America "needs" to riot because, apparently, America has no idea what a riot is or how to conduct one. These people are either too young or have a horrible and selective memory (Fox News viewers?).
The truth is that American's have rioted like this. Just because your 14 and haven't seen it for yourself doesn't mean it hasn't happened.

if you would like to read about more. - Lefts, on 06/27/2009, -1/+25Hey, what about those two wars we're having? And one of our allies and their war against our same enemy?
What were they again? - inactive, on 06/27/2009, -0/+23peaceful protesting is illegal in iran. that is a fact.
- Alias1431, on 06/27/2009, -0/+23The murders will continue until morale improves.
- joesomebodycool, on 06/27/2009, -0/+21the protesters aren't exactly the ones with guns shooting at random people in the street
- inactive, on 06/27/2009, -2/+22It's not safe for anything. If videos like this don't change the way you look at life, there's something wrong with you.
- unusualbob, on 06/27/2009, -5/+23I wonder what the guy who shot him was thinking too.
Did he just decide to shoot this one guy? Why this guy among all the rest? Was he just firing a few shots to disperse the crowd?
No matter what that's gotta be awful. How do you go home and face your family after something like that? How do you tuck your kid into bed knowing you killed a man with those hands earlier that day?
Hopefully this cop/military/whatever guy will realize after this what it means to kill someone and hopefully join the protesters instead. Maybe bring a few of his colleagues as well. - AlphaMack, on 06/27/2009, -1/+19How cowardly of the regime. RIP.
- Kyrgizion, on 06/27/2009, -3/+20It DOES work. Just see China, 1989.
- Feraldr00d, on 06/27/2009, -3/+20Because most Americans, including myself, don't have the balls to stand up for the changes we need if a gun were pointed at their skulls. These people are epitomizing bravery.
- algaeturd, on 06/27/2009, -1/+17How would the shooter go home and tuck his child in bed after something like that?
What's going through your mind, man? Seriously.
Did you read a little bit about the Iraq war going on where Americans had to kill other people for no reason in particular other than that they were fighting to keep people from occupying their homeland?
How many soldiers do you think had to kill 'insurgents' day after day?
How did those people go home and sleep at night?
People justify EVERYTHING they do, whether it's right or not. They tell themselves that they HAD to kill for
(fill in the blank). Americans justified killing Iraqis day after day. This man can justify in his head killing someone who (in his mind) could have been considered a threat to the current regime. - Lefts, on 06/27/2009, -0/+16Quick, someone gets shot fatally, and the government who shot him is likely going to try and hide the body and the evidence of the event to prevent him from becoming a martyr.
You are not a doctor. You are not in a hospital. You do not have a stretcher, or a car. Going to a hospital with a gunshot victim might get you incarcerated. The guy is already dead.
What do you do? - xgambetx, on 06/27/2009, -3/+18holy *****!
- Crash1337, on 06/27/2009, -2/+17thats just ***** up
- Kinneas12, on 06/27/2009, -1/+16Go play with your lite brite.
- lostngone, on 06/27/2009, -1/+16Note to self....
During a protest don't run out into the middle of the street after hearing gun shots. - inactive, on 06/27/2009, -1/+16Yeah, let's just pretend violence doesn't exist... People need to know about it. They need to understand how bad it really is instead of turning a blind eye. What is convenient isn't what's right.
- cheesylobster, on 06/27/2009, -0/+15If the founding fathers had that attitude we wouldn't have America. Some things are worth dying for.
- punkcat, on 06/27/2009, -1/+16if you are behind them, tell us your plans to help.
digg comments? - ptbus0, on 06/27/2009, -0/+14Ironically Michael Jackson was a symbol of freedom to the Iranians.
.. if I had the ability to produce rainbows you could expect one to fly by your screen laying down the phrase "The more you know!" - assemblyline, on 06/27/2009, -0/+14I know that the majority of those protesting are trying to be non-violent, but I really think it is time for them to start storming The Bastille.
