  • pbryan, on 08/20/2008, -0/+1What's of concern to me, as a Google "customer" is the fact that maybe the Chinese government is able to exercise control over Google's cache. It's one thing to control content disseminated to citizens; it's another to be able to control content distributed to the world. I know Google wants to play nice with the Chinese to penetrate its market and deliver value to its shareholders, but if it's true the Chinese is able to tinker with Google's index, it may ultimately be too high a price to pay.

    The Chinese government decided to misrepresent her at the olympics, and the IOC doesn't seem to care. If you ask me, one of those two groups should be dragged through the ugly media spotlight, not her.
