U.S.-Backed Russian Institutes Help Iran Build Reactor - New York Times
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/02/07/washington/07nuk ...
Odd, the administration claims to be "so disturbed" about Iran possessing nuclear capability, yet gives Russian institutes 4 million dollars of our tax money which goes to directly assist their nuclear projects! Some concern huh..And as usual, the "Energy Secretary" 'doesn't know a thing about it"... : o |
You got to wonder why they'd let this ***** go public in the first place... - inactive, on 11/01/2008, -1/+71This report lends a little clarity to the reasons for wanting to attack Iran. The nuclear reason is proving to be bunk.
Hmm, what could be a possibly be another reason? - Catspaw, on 11/02/2008, -3/+72More evidence that the Bush Admin is compromised, in part, of fascist-minded lunatics who want to take the US down from the inside. Bushs' grandfather tried a takeover overtly and failed, this time they have done it by stealth, from the inside.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8y06NSBBRtY - emazur, on 11/01/2008, -3/+55So the US originally hired the Russian scientists after the Cold War so they wouldn't be tempted to go on the payroll of a dangerous nation, and what happens? The Russian scientists stay on our payroll while developing nuclear projects for a dangerous nation. Way to ***** go, US politicians. Lou Dobbs really laid the smack down on them. Go Lou!
- ingodwerefucked, on 11/02/2008, -8/+57and people still believe that al-qaeda isn't a u.s. funded terrorist group. funnnnyyyy. watch them turn this into a reason to attack iran and russia and start WWIII. even biden said himself that obama will be faced with a major feat within his first 6 months in office that will make the american people test our faith in him. these guys have all of this stuff planned out to the t. and if cnn is releasing this story there is definitely a reason for it. too bad all people on digg care about is laughing at palin/mccain or sucking obama's...toes, so they never really notice what's actually going on with our government.
- algaeturd, on 11/02/2008, -1/+47Before you have an enemy to attack, you have to create that enemy. We've done it historically quite a bit over the years. This is no difference.
And the department of energy DEFENDS this *****?
Americans should be pissed off but they're well asleep right now. Not even losing all their value, savings and stocks has woken them up; this certainly won't. - sheeplescareme, on 11/01/2008, -2/+43why? because they know that most are not paying attention (this was from february or march, no?). they know that the average american spends all their spare time laying on the couch, glued to their telelies and swallowing every drop of propaganda being sold to them while simultaneously destroying their bodies gorging on pre-packaged chemical filled junk food. they know that no one is paying any mind to the man behind the curtain because it has been designed that way. the few that are paying attention are simply being conditioned to accept it all as the norm whilst they are labeled as conspiracy theorists and ridiculed for their concerns. the game is rigged and we have the apathetic and "patriots" to thank in part for that.
- Berkana, on 11/02/2008, -1/+42Halliburton, Dick Cheney's company, has been circumventing US laws by using subsidiaries to sell nuclear materials and equipment to Iran. They have no allegiance to anything but their own greed.

http://digg.com/political_opinion/Halliburton_Secr ... - muckemuck, on 11/02/2008, -0/+32Have they said they want to stop trading oil for dollars (and instead use Euros or some other currency)? .. eh?
What would happen if the world suddenly stopped exchanging stuff for dollars? Would there be less need for dollars? Would the value of the dollar drop?
Did Iraq also make this threat? Hmm.. How about Venezuela? Others? - inactive, on 11/02/2008, -0/+23It's not just the Bush administration... it's the whole thing from the knees up. From what I understand, the Bushes are pretty low in the 'pecking order.' Look at the NGOs like the Carnegie Endowment, Rockefeller Foundation, Ford Foundation.. if not behind it, many are implicit, and made a point (in their own minutes) to infiltrate government and literally rewrite history.
- AutoTom, on 11/02/2008, -0/+22dugg for epic rant
- GovernmentSp00k, on 11/02/2008, -1/+22Yeah, they don't even try to hide it anymore...Why bother right? They throw this ***** in our faces cuz they know we're going to do the usual: NOTHING.

When telling the truth is "controversial', what does that say of us as a people?
Americans are naive when a political opinion is posted. If you believe that your President and Vice President run the USA, then you still believe in Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy. Politicians are mouth pieces for vested interests. Controlled and Owned by much greater masters than us. Find out who the vested interests are, then you will know about the ideologies being practiced and implemented. The U.S. Govt has a history of lying to the American people in order to further it’s ideology regardless of the cost in money and American lives.
Read Orwell, read Naomi Wolf. America (and Britain) are corporate-controlled neofascist states. So of course there's gonna be propaganda. You got it in Scotland, too. It's harder for some to recognize homegrown propaganda 'cause they dress it up in the flag and slip it between the commercials and feed it to you when your guard is down. War is Peace. Freedom is slavery.
America should realize TV is for advertising & entertainment purposes ONLY. We were never meant to rely on it to live our lives any more than we're supposed to rely on fast food or processed foods to feed us. They're supposed to be alternatives. We've now come to rely on that which was only supposed to be a supplement and option in life. - TecHeavy, on 11/02/2008, -1/+19Are you ***** retarded?

- mfc5200, on 11/02/2008, -0/+16We keep giving all of this power to the federal government, in the hope that they will do good with that power. And pretty much every time they abuse this power. A new politician them comes along, doesn't want to give that power back, but says he will use that power the way its meant to be used, and the cycle continues.
JUST STOP GIVING THEM POWER! If you want hand over all these responsibilities to government, do it on a local level, they are easier to keep track of. - Catspaw, on 11/02/2008, -2/+16 Remember what the 9/11 polls show about how many don't believe the official story. A lot more are awake than you seem to think.

"I'm glad 'da "Terrists" ain't attacking my wuudshed". - anagai, on 11/02/2008, -1/+9Certain people behind the curtains want war. We will always be in some sort of war somewhere no matter who is in office. They will always create a artificial situation (CIA) that which we will have to pay for down the road in terms of american lives and money. We created sadam hussein. we created Iranian hatred of us. The true rulers of this world is big business and the banks. They have their grips in every politicians pockets.
- inactive, on 11/02/2008, -1/+8This falls into the category of 'drumming up enemies'. The Soviets this, the Iranians that.
Are we going to be so speculative of 'any' public program for nuclear technology on the basis that it could very well be used for military purposes? Yes, be critical, but sometimes, just sometimes the good can outweigh the evil. - stienster, on 11/02/2008, -0/+7I knew what you meant Dear.

I do happen to agree with you that this reaction is over-hyped, but what else do you expect coming from that arrogant windbag Lou Dobbs?
Please, tone down the hate though. - sheeplescareme, on 11/02/2008, -1/+7most people do not vote, most people do not protest. where have you all been? when it was discovered that there were no wmd's and that 935 lies led us into iraq, where were you? when the world learned that america was torturing prisoners at abu gharib and guantanamo, where were you? our government takes part in rendition (releasing people to regimes who will allow them to be tortured)! the government has been conducting illegal surveillance on its citizens, warrantless searches, wiretapping...where have you been? shopping? watching your telelies? the government has been destroying the constitution and where have you been? the government has been abusing its power and where have you all been? waving your flags and chanting "god bless america!" there is no patriotism amongst americans anymore. patriotism is dissent, patriotism is vigilance, patriotism is knowing what your government is doing in your name! yes, america is asleep. wake up!
- stienster, on 11/02/2008, -0/+6never underestimate Bush Sr. He's a high level demon in George clothing.
- thereisnostate, on 11/02/2008, -0/+6True, these people are internationalists. They may have homes in America but they could care less about Americans. They have homes throughout the world and when they are done bankrupting one nation, they pack up their bags and head to the next one. This is the nature of neocons.
- digitronix, on 11/02/2008, -0/+6Go figure, the US government likes to give countries weapons, then invade them on the basis that they have those weapons.
Sound familiar, like, Iraq?
http://www.counterpunch.org/dixon06172004.html - galapagos, on 11/02/2008, -0/+5Lou Dobbs ANGRY!!!!
- LeepII, on 11/02/2008, -0/+5Since we sold weapons to Iraq before attacking them, this only makes sense.
- inactive, on 11/02/2008, -2/+7It seems the "Money Masters" are at it again!
- helpfulcorn, on 11/02/2008, -18/+23I know I'll probably get dugg down for not drinking the Digg Kool-aid and blindly believing everything that's made popular on digg, but isn't Lou Dobbs the same guy who's been going absolutely bonkers of the impending doom of the North American Union, which still shows no signs of actually happening and the Amero as well? Can only actually point to anything Lou Dobbs has predicted that's come true.
Not only this, but 4 million dollars to a different agency that was helping Iran? Just 4 million dollars can barely do much at all as far as nuclear research goes, and if someone does something by proxy, does that automatically mean you're responsible? How many of you hippy douche bags have let a friend borrow money and he goes out and buys marijuana, what if you were put on trial for supplying 4 dollars of that 40 or whatever he spent?
Not only that, but if you look at the info for this video you get this:
keywords:
Movement, A.R.M, Alex Jones, New World Order, Illuminati, NWO, Skull and Bones, Bush, 911 Conspiracy, The Civilians Military, Militia, American Resistance Movement, Revolt, Bilderberg......
It goes on and on. I'm not saying that people who promote Alex Jones and Illuminati stuff are automatically full of *****, but they're damn close.
Go ahead and digg me down, go ahead and post replies about how wrong I am about everything, that doesn't change the fact htat you're a complete moron. - slyzxx, on 11/02/2008, -1/+6not surprised because we paid to teach saddams troops how to fight, gave them weapons and then cried about it.
- inactive, on 11/02/2008, -3/+8The Russians were building the Iran nuke reactors when Bush was saying he trusted Putin - then in the next sentence he'd call Iran evil. Bush and crime family are the greatest terrorists that ever walked the earth.
- inactive, on 11/02/2008, -0/+5It's to fund nuclear energy as in an alternative energy source, not nuclear bombs.
If we end up invading Iran because of this I will lose all respect for the United States. - Neiby, on 11/02/2008, -1/+6You miss the point. We can't be decrying their nuclear program on one hand while supporting it financially with the other. Dobbs isn't insinuating that we're paying for the entire program. His point is that only incompetence (or perhaps something more sinister, I suppose) would allow such a thing to occur.
