- HeartlandUSA, on 12/23/2007, -15/+86This has been the worst presidency, rubber stamped by the Republican majority Congress for 6 years with well over 200 scandals (see: http://scandalist.info/ & here too http://www.netrootsmass.net/Hugh/Bush_list.html) & several indictments & even some Republican officials behind bars as we speak. Real smooth right wingers. Go to http://www.larouchepub.com/other/2003/3011profile_ ... & learn about neoconservatism.
- moin1097, on 12/23/2007, -26/+7Cut, meet paste.
Got anything new?- nospinhere, on 12/24/2007, -4/+5Other then libtard propaganda and spin? No, they don't.
- Napoleone, on 12/23/2007, -6/+21I agree with your statement, but don't leave out the fact that most Democrats in Congress have only pretended to oppose this Administration.
The veto threat is meaningless if you don't bring up the bills in the first place.- iraq, on 12/23/2007, -7/+2Right, because it makes so much more sense to spend 6 weeks drafting legislation that the President promises to Veto if his demands aren't met. Even more, we should expect them to spend a quarter of the year on legislative language so that the minority Senate won't filibuster.
- Tilon, on 12/24/2007, -3/+4Cutting corners is the origin of the slippery slope, moron.
- OnionBaggage, on 12/24/2007, -1/+5Just don't draft the legislation he wants. Say this or nothing. He'll give up eventually.
- Stevanoski, on 12/24/2007, -6/+2Don't forget that worthless cur Carter in your count of worthless presidents.
- iraq, on 12/23/2007, -7/+2Right, because it makes so much more sense to spend 6 weeks drafting legislation that the President promises to Veto if his demands aren't met. - Sil369, on 12/23/2007, -18/+6Where's VOTE RON PAUL?
- TheLoneHoot, on 12/23/2007, -7/+9hopefully replaced with VOTE DENNIS KUCINICH!
- dteresh, on 12/23/2007, -2/+2See the LaRouche link? He's one of THOSE GUYS!
- petrodollar, on 12/24/2007, -2/+2His supporters can no longer afford broadband internet because of runaway INFLATION.
- Bamont, on 12/23/2007, -2/+5You should probably fix your statement to reflect accuracy, "worst presidency that the people are aware of."
Or, you know, you could throw something in there about sensationalism. - grgt1994, on 12/24/2007, -11/+3Ahhh. Makes me reminisce of the Clinton days. Constant indictments. Endless investigations of executive misdeeds. Adverse witnesses disappear or die mysteriously. Now THAT was the worst presidency.
- ScoobyG, on 12/24/2007, -4/+12Yes. Because clearly, between 1) a blowjob and 2) an endless, disastrous war and flagrant violations of the constitution and federal laws, the latter is by far preferable.
- grgt1994, on 12/24/2007, -3/+2I see your selective memory suits your world view.
- MacEnvy, on 12/24/2007, -0/+2Beautiful use of irony.
Or was that just hypocrisy?
- MacEnvy, on 12/24/2007, -0/+2Beautiful use of irony.
- grgt1994, on 12/24/2007, -3/+2I see your selective memory suits your world view.
- TripMoon, on 12/24/2007, -3/+8Yeah, constant false indictments brought on by you worthless Republicans because you hated Clinton and had no way to beat him. Imagine, a roaring economy that was brought to life after the failure of Bush I. You had nothing on him and wanted to delay his fulfillment of his duties because he might, (oh no, hold on to your money!) actually use taxes to help the less fortunate. Wow, you really had to stop that! It's the economy, stupid! Whenever you have the lowest rungs of the economic ladder feeling confident because they will have health care if something goes wrong while working 9 to 9 jobs, they will spend money and help the economy. That is why Clinton ended his term with a surplus, you moron, which this idiot monkey trashed with a smile. ("It's MY money, dammit!") Well, you had your money now, how's the economy, stupid?
- jon30041, on 12/24/2007, -2/+2Kick him in the groin now, it'll make you feel better. Oh, and rub his face in some Republican scandal while you're at it. It'll drive home the point.
- pauldy, on 12/24/2007, -2/+2You obviously understand nothing about economics if you think Clinton's presidential leadership was the cause of the economic prosperity enjoyed during his tenure. Laissez-faire policies have effects that take time to surface it doesn't just happen with a single policy change and the next day everything is as if it was never any different. He was a great presence in the white house but far from a beneficial economic influence.
- ScoobyG, on 12/24/2007, -4/+12Yes. Because clearly, between 1) a blowjob and 2) an endless, disastrous war and flagrant violations of the constitution and federal laws, the latter is by far preferable.
- moin1097, on 12/23/2007, -26/+7Cut, meet paste.
- principle, on 12/23/2007, -17/+49This Congress is a bunch of whining sissies who gave in to a bully. Yes, he is threatening to destroy our country if Congress goes after him. But, he is doing that anyway! If Congress does not stop him then we will become slaves of the New World Order he is building. Writing letters to Congress is pointless. Only when hundreds of thousands show up on his doorstep, may be then Congress will do something. But not until then.
Nader Sheds Light on Bush Impeachment!
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-854363641 ...- TripMoon, on 12/23/2007, -5/+11You know we are in trouble when Congress is afraid to carry out its Constitutional functions.
- petrodollar, on 12/24/2007, -6/+9We're in even bigger trouble when ***** think they understand the constitution after watching a few ron paul clips on youtube.
- TripMoon, on 12/24/2007, -3/+2No we're not, how many of them will vote? Congress not acting in our interest for fear of what this war-mongering puppet monkey will do IS the problem.
- HeroicZach, on 12/24/2007, -3/+5Someone finally shares my sentiment. Everyone's a Constitutional Law expert now, eh? "Bush violated the constitution!!!!!" "How?" "Uh...we're stuck in an endless war!!!" "That's where in the Constitution?"
- TripMoon, on 12/24/2007, -4/+4Can you get your head from out of your ass for a moment and smell the coffee? LYING to us to drag us into war, lying to our allies, and even outting a CIA agent because her husband would give a report revealing the lie? Why were you idiots panting and foaming at the mouth about impeaching Clinton? Where is his violation? You spent millions on a non-issue that in no way threatened the integrity of our country or its constitution, FOR A BLOW-JOB??? Where is denying a private matter an impeachable offense in the Constitution, Mr. Expert? Presidents have, do, and will continue to do far worse sexual exploits than that.
- HeroicZach, on 12/24/2007, -3/+3Actually, I believe lying under oath (perjury) IS in the constitution. It wasn't about the BJ. We (well, Republicans, I don't speak for them) had actual legal basis. A President that thinks nothing of making up lie after lie about "trying marijuana but not inhaling" DOES threaten the integrity of the United States. Sexual exploits are fine - you can do whatever the hell you want in bed. However, when they call you out on it and you, under oath of the President of the United States, deny it and make up desparate lie after desparate lie, that does. And these are proven lies. Based on intelligence when we went to war, WMDs were in Iraq, so don't even give me that. UN Weapons Inspectors: "We're coming in 30 days Saddam to check and see if you have any WMDs!" Nice move UN (Useless Nations).
Learn something about something, please. You just sound like a complete ass pretending. - LukasSmith, on 12/24/2007, -4/+1Learn something about something, please. How do you know Bush lied? Lied about what? Seemed pretty clear everyone thought there were weapons in Iraq before this war. Nobody challenged this belief. The idea that nobody questioned this belief itself makes you wonder. Like 95% of congress voted to fund this war. They did not challenge anything. Bush said there were WMD's but so did some intelligence agents. Iraq was already ignoring UN sanctions. The only people who could have responded were the US. And they did several times during the clinton years with bombing in Iraq. Is it too hard to believe that a 911 spooked public, government, president rushed into things they didnt really make sense because they were genuinely concerned about attacks? I think ultimately the American public realizes that there are no clear answers to these questions and might never be. The proper course now is to look at the best possible way of leaving Iraq while leaving Iraq a stable ally. A stable ally in the middle east would be no small accomplishment and I think the future history books would say America fixes thier mistakes. In reality the horrors of the entire middle eastern region are the result of poor planning and maintanence by the european powers who factually owned the middle east and much of the world during the last few centuries. Iraq and other middle east countries are horribly divided. US does not factually own any other country. We are not an empire.
- HeroicZach, on 12/24/2007, -3/+3Actually, I believe lying under oath (perjury) IS in the constitution. It wasn't about the BJ. We (well, Republicans, I don't speak for them) had actual legal basis. - LukasSmith, on 12/24/2007, -6/+3Clinton deserved to be impeached. He set the bar to low. Monica lewinsky was asss ugly. Bush on the other hand has done nothing that isnt in his constitutional rights. Yes he has tread the line very closely but he has not crossed it. Now maybe in your mind he has crossed the line but the fact is your opinion doesnt mean *****! Stop hiding behind your supposed holy saints of the democratic party because they dont care about you or your opinions. sound familiar? Also a group of 1000 lawyers saying oh Impeach bush means nothing. Because guess where democrat party base comes from? Lawyers. so go figure.
- jon30041, on 12/24/2007, -2/+3He's crossed the line. Wire-tapping ANYONE without a warrant. What happened in Watergate, with Nixon? Didn't they wiretap the opposing party? Without a warrant?
Oh, if only he hadn't resigned... we'd have a DAMN solid precedent for slamming this administration's ass...- HeroicZach, on 12/24/2007, -3/+0Ahh, more people who know everything! Yes, Nixon wiretapped. He also had men break into a building and steal documents/secrets for him, and then tried to cover it up. It wasn't about the wiretapping. Sure, that was a part of it...but was it the only element? Absolutely not. Plus, Mr. Bush had total legal authority to wiretap under the PATRIOT Act, created under the provisions of the US Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land. End of story.

- Tilon, on 12/24/2007, -3/+4It's not afraid. This is by design. Anyone who goes against the tide is simply removed.
- TripMoon, on 12/24/2007, -3/+5Are you a moron living in a cave? Your godforsaken conservatives have been in power for the past 8 years, and in absolute power the first four(Congress). They had the show, unhindered, to do the "great" things they claim will lead us to a bright future. Now take a look back... All you have is hell, and a collapsing economy. There was no "Democrat" Congress to blame(even now they do not have super-majorities), so all you have are your idiot selves to blame. You see, with no opposition, the hypocritical Republicans were forced to show their true colors: Care about no one but yourself and lie, cheat, steal, and say anything to trick the dumbed-down masses to get whatever you want. There is no honor or compassion among these people. These are leaders of corporations who use the government as a tool to advance their wealth. That is why they will trash the Constitution and use it as toilet paper. I'd rather take Clinton's blow-job in the Oval office that DOES NOT AFFECT OR GO AGAINST THIS COUNTRY AND THE CONSTITUTION IN ANY WAY WHATSOEVER than the idiot Bush's Guantanamo, suspension of habeus corpus(don't give me that Lincoln bull-crap, just because someone makes a mistake doesn't mean it is intelligent to repeat it), out-ting a CIA officer for political reasons, SPYING ON AMERICANS THROUGH THEIR CELL PHONES(why did we fight Communist Russia again?), deceiving us into war(and removing funds for our vets), and being the most fiscally irresponsible administration in history, any day. Stop having an orgasm every time the monkey opens his dirty, puppet mouth and use your brain for once. This is about the U.S.A. The only people who made out like thieves are the rich. Come to think of it, the above description sounds like your run-of-the-mill dictatorship. Pakistan, anyone?
- Tilon, on 12/24/2007, -0/+2What the ***** are you talking about? I want an end to big Federal and world government and a return to decentralized, controllable power.
But THEY are doing this by design.- TripMoon, on 12/27/2007, -0/+0What the ***** are talking about, moron?

- omnithought, on 12/23/2007, -11/+47Hopefully these lawyers will get things done that Congress lacks the balls to do.
- verifex, on 12/24/2007, -0/+1They signed a letter asking one of our elected officials to step up and do something about the dire straits we are in. As much as I would like to believe that this would cause action, I sadly don't think it will matter. The lawyers are ASKING our elected officials to do something. Almost all of our elected officials lack any kind of backbone, bravery, or even independent thought. Our elected officials only know how to kowtow to lobbyists and live in a constant state of "fear" that everything they do will be held against them next election season. That is the way it is, we can hope for something different, but expecting something like this to have any effect is essentially very blind faith.
- JohnDavis730, on 12/23/2007, -23/+11i would be happy if this would actually lead to something, but like the twenty other times something like this has been on digg, it wont.
go ahead, digg me down, i know you want too- TheLoneHoot, on 12/23/2007, -7/+7Next time someone says, "go ahead, digg me down" just ignore them - give them none of the attention they are trying to get by using childish reverse psychology. It's getting really old.
"go ahead and digg me down" is in the same slagheap as:
"don't taze me bro"
"I see what you did there"
"moonbat"
"lolcatz"- DeadRepubs, on 12/24/2007, -0/+0What about 'Libtard'
- sumGIRL, on 12/24/2007, -0/+0Yeah, that stuffs almost as dumb as 'deadrepubs.'
- DeadRepubs, on 12/24/2007, -0/+0What about 'Libtard'
- peaceninja, on 12/23/2007, -4/+0i dugg you up because you paraphrased what i wanted to say
- talkingpidgin, on 12/24/2007, -6/+1ya giving up in the face of adversity is always the best course of action. don't bother writing your representatives or actively participating, you will lose anyways because nobody actively participates. in fact don't vote. go take a long nap.
- tolbs, on 12/24/2007, -4/+2I dugg you down because you gave me permission :)
- TheLoneHoot, on 12/23/2007, -7/+7Next time someone says, "go ahead, digg me down" just ignore them - give them none of the attention they are trying to get by using childish reverse psychology. It's getting really old.
- Alix7, on 12/23/2007, -23/+9Useless. Everything that's ever been done to try and take out the administration has failed/been a disaster.
Go ahead, Digg me down. The truth speaks for itself.- FredSpeaking, on 12/23/2007, -10/+2That's what the guy trapped in a snow cave said.
Then he realized his flare could melt through the wall in seconds.
Go ahead, Digg me down. The truth speaks to those looking for it; if you can't be bothered, go back to watching Survivor reruns. - dotlizard, on 12/24/2007, -4/+3so, what you're saying is, if you're in a dire situation, the best thing to do is just give up, it's too hard, no one's been able to yet so why bother?
um, no thanks. i think i'll keep trying, but you go right on ahead with your helplessness and apathy, you seem comfortable with it.
- FredSpeaking, on 12/23/2007, -10/+2That's what the guy trapped in a snow cave said.
- petrodollar, on 12/23/2007, -11/+15None of this will make a difference until someone figures out a way to let lawyers bill for this *****.
- bingobongony, on 12/23/2007, -15/+11DEMANDING! Thanks for the laugh.
- ADAGUY, on 12/23/2007, -10/+28If this guy is allowed to get away with all the crimes he has committed, it just gives a green light to the next administration that they can go just as far.
- nought, on 12/23/2007, -3/+10don't be such a cynic. WE CAN GO FURTHER if we believe!
- irishgawdess, on 12/24/2007, -6/+3I'm concerned about future presidencies as well. The only candidate I've heard say he will restore the constitution is Dennis Kucinich. None of the debates addressed this question (those were a few hours I'll never get back!)
- Bantec, on 12/24/2007, -3/+5"The only candidate........... Dennis Kucinich." Really? I agree Kucinich is beholden to the constitution, but I can think of one other candidate.
- jon30041, on 12/24/2007, -2/+2... Gravel?

- Travisx2, on 12/23/2007, -9/+66okokok.... Now even LAWYERS are looking good to me in comparison to the Bush administration......
My friends, we have finally hit bottom.- r3negadeX, on 08/11/2008, -2/+8No, we will hit bottom if Huckabee gets elected president. Let us pray that day will never come...
- ackermannc, on 12/24/2007, -6/+2At least he'd bring back morals lost ever since Reagan. No wonder he's getting attacked by groups like Club For Growth nonstop.
- mawh, on 12/24/2007, -1/+4I think Giuliani is a bit worse.

GET MOOOO! MO MONEEEY! - coreyb, on 12/24/2007, -0/+1Settle down, unless you see it in writing and it references, then the way the MSM reporters pronounce it with their southern accents, it sounds like getmo...
Steven, it is abbreviated as GTMO or more commonly Gitmo.

- RidgeWalker76, on 12/23/2007, -7/+9Time is running out for something to be done. Something needs to be done in order for future Presidents to be wary of the consequences of running such a lawless brand of government. Otherwise this kind of behavior will be repeated over and over.
- BigW, on 12/24/2007, -3/+6Are you kidding me. Let say they start impeachment now. Then lets say it takes up most of the time to the election and does nothing but widen the cavernous divide between the left and right. Then lets say Hillary gets the presidency, but loses the midterm election. Now there's no one who could make me believe that with Hillary's propensity for scandal, there won't be something that the Republicans to spout off about impeaching her for.
So if the Congress does impeach Bush, I see no way this country will avoid seeing the impeachment of every President elected from now on.
Bush won't be impeached, because it means that then Hillary will more than likely not be impeached. Its as simple as that.- trickyt, on 12/24/2007, -0/+1If Hillary breaks the law with scandals, she SHOULD be impeached! If every president after this one breaks the law, they should too! Not breaking the law is a good defense against impeachment. Not perfect, but good.

- regexp, on 12/23/2007, -11/+91000 lawyers? So that is what? .001% of registered lawyers in the US Bar? And we care about this why?
- laterthandawn, on 12/23/2007, -3/+3I'm guessing there are others...it takes a group like this to start momentum.
You know, usually mass movements don't spontaneously explode all over at once. Just saying.- petrodollar, on 12/24/2007, -3/+2I'm guessing the equity partners making $900k at Jew, Jew & Wasp LLP are probably going to sit this one out.
- r3negadeX, on 08/11/2008, -2/+3How would *you* like to get sued by 1000 lawyers, bitch?
- petrodollar, on 12/24/2007, -2/+4I'd be all for it if the lawsuit is ultimately frivolous and I'm in a jurisdiction that lets me countersue them.
- pauldy, on 12/24/2007, -1/+1It doesn't matter if it is 200 million lawyers the number is just a sensationalistic tactic used to give credence to an otherwise baseless claim. The true cost of this juvenile act will be to the tax payers. I hope that whomever takes on the case in defense will make a motion that all costs associated with the trial will be paid for by the losing party otherwise I think this whole thing is totally stupid just find a reputable site that lists everything in whole. It is a lot of professors, read those who couldn't do it in the real world, there is also disproportionate amount of trial attorneys, read ambulance chasers. It's sold as a win-win if you’re on the list and it goes somewhere your among the visionaries, if it goes no were people will forget about it no harm done.
- frsrblch, on 12/24/2007, -0/+4America has 10 million lawyers? No wonder you guys are having problems...

- laterthandawn, on 12/23/2007, -10/+6*****, this just might make up for all the ambulance chasers out there.
- petrodollar, on 12/24/2007, -0/+4John Edwards?

- TripMoon, on 12/24/2007, -9/+6Are you a moron living in a cave?

- pauldy, on 12/24/2007, -0/+1You must be in law school or something because many times in history great people were ignorant of or acted in absolute defiance of law. Unfortunately in today’s world people often take these few extraordinary examples and turn them it into some bastardized idea of being great is to be ignorant and defy all laws.

- Johneeeee, on 12/24/2007, -6/+4Note to rabidly hysteric Leftists.
Over 300 Congressional Investigations into the Bush Administration in the last year by Democrats. Not one Ethics complaint filed much less a single criminal charge. I know you are all pathetically desperate to get even for Clinton but it is NOT going to happen. You got NOTHING.
The ghost of Goebbels must really be proud of you people. You have perfected his propaganda tactics of simply screaming a lie over and over and over in the hopes it will be taken as truth by the gullible and the uninformed. What pathetic losers you people are.
God help you if a Democrat wins in 2008. The same way the Special Council laws the Left tried to use to bring down Reagan turned around and destroyed the Clinton Presidency in the 1990s, these despicable tactics will be used against the next Democrat President. The Left never learns. Your gutter level political tactics ALWAYS come back on you 3 times as hard
Just because you Leftists desperately hate Bush does not allow you to simply ignore all laws to manufacture phony, hysteric accusation to throw at your political opponents. Elections matter. You lost. You don't get to try and undue those results with lies and demagoguery just because your personal political whimsy are being rejected by the voters.
The only difference between what the Hysteric Left is doing today, and what McCarthy did in the 1950s is who the targets are. History will be savage in it's condemnation of this eras low dishonest, politically corrupt Leftists.- pauldy, on 12/24/2007, -0/+2If you control the education system then you control the interpretation of history in the minds of the youth. If you look at the list of lawyers that signed on many of them are professors I don't think its coincidence.

- blindhammer, on 12/24/2007, -0/+3The judicial branch of government generally interprets and construes the laws that the legislative (and executive branch) passes. While there are certainly some exceptions, every lawsuit generally derives from either a state law or a federal law that gives a person the right to sue (a "cause of action"). There are numerous safeguards that prevent frivolous lawsuits at the judicial level. This ultimately means that harassing lawsuits are thrown out an overwhelmingly vast majority of time.
In general, attorneys do not go around suing people -- they legally can't. It's non-attorneys who initiate civil lawsuits. So, when you are complaining about there being too many attorneys, you are really complaining about how society has turned to lawsuits (and regulation) in order to resolve disputes. If anything, that is much more civil than violence.
Attorneys are guided by rules of Professional Conduct, unlike most other professions. If an attorney does something bad, he or she is often penalized or, depending on the case, disbarred. And this is all public and humiliating. There are, of course, "bad" attorneys just like their are bad cooks, bad doctors and bad computer programmers. But, attorneys are so regulated by States that abuse is fairly uncommon.- pauldy, on 12/24/2007, -0/+1It would be nice if everything you were saying was true but we have had a very high profile attorney who perjured under oath and was not disbarred until public outcry was high enough he was suspended from practicing law for five years in his home state. Then out of the blue he was disbarred by the supreme court just for the politics of it. There have been numerous lawsuits heard before the supreme court based off politics alone as well. Circuit courts have "made laws" by handing out orders that favor atheism as an established national religion. While we would love to believe these areas of practice are for educated thinking people of high moral fiber who put their intellect above their heart it just doesn't seem to be the case.
- blindhammer, on 12/24/2007, -0/+2I don't understand why you are complaining that an attorney, most likely not acting in his capacity as an attorney since he was testifying, was suspended and eventually disbarred for perjury. There are very few professions where, if you do something wrong, you are forbidden to actually work. If a computer programmer perjures herself, then she can still get another job or start her own computer business. You can't do that with law. Once you mess up, that's it, more or less.
Politics is infused in all branches of the government but, in my experience, the judicial branch at least attempts to be objective. Granted, recent Supreme Court cases (Bush v. Gore, for instance) seem to be driven ONLY by politics but, I think an overwhelmingly vast majority of judge rulings are based upon non-interpretive law. Judges make rulings all the time even though they personally disagree with the situation. Can the same be said about either the executive or legislative branch?
And finally, being "religion-neutral" does not equate with atheism. There is a clear separation of Church and state in the United States, as expressed in the Bill of Rights.

- udahlen, on 12/24/2007, -1/+2The Bush administration is breaking the law and lying to the people. Too bad the Democratic opposition is so incredibly lame, it won't stand up to Bush, even when they have a majority of the people behind them. Criminals and cowards, what a nice bunch of people...
