But there have been no trials, no evidence drawn against them, and some have even been shown to be innocent. Perhaps it's the latter demographic that these contemptible leftists are fighting for.

They are basically prisoners of war. Prisoners of war do not go to trial. They get released when the hostilities are over.
They can't be official prisoners of war because the Geneva Convention only applies to sovereign nations and the Taliban are no longer a sovereign entity. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -7/+1They are just typical students and lawyers that want people to give them the attention they crave. They have little to do with Islamic community which is solidly conservative. 82% voted for President Bush in 2000, (8% voted for Nader just because he's Arab like a lot of Muslims in America are, still dumb reason if you ask me).
