- theguesser10, on 11/06/2009, -0/+35... where's Japan?
- elijahyossie, on 11/06/2009, -1/+34Very interesting graph - India really sticks out as heavily populated, along with Indonesia.
- hpi5555, on 11/06/2009, -0/+29I would like to see how much of that land is considered livable too.
- novenator, on 11/06/2009, -2/+27Don't need to fill it up people.
- bmiami69, on 11/06/2009, -0/+25Nice. how about cities? Hong Kong and New York City would look interesting

- deus216, on 11/06/2009, -2/+13People can live practically anywhere. Look at the Inuit... crazy bastards.
- Subcrtical, on 11/06/2009, -0/+10I know it's the internet and nothing should be taken seriously, but landmass isn't really relevant when most of it is uninhabitable.
- jmritchie, on 11/10/2009, -0/+9Yeah I got a craving for hard boiled eggs. Also, I want to travel more.
- Shayer, on 11/06/2009, -0/+9How do you have a land mass against population graph and not mention Bangladesh!
- drtinus, on 11/06/2009, -0/+9* Danish. Also, it recently got some degree of independence.

- elnerdo, on 11/06/2009, -0/+8Ehh, the US has a nice benefit in that most of its very large area is habitable and arable, unlike Russia or Canada.

- inactive, on 11/06/2009, -1/+6If you want to talk about efficiency...
1. Traffic laws are almost totally ignored on crowded Indian roads.
2. Billions of gallons of untreated sewage flows into the country's rivers, especially ones considered sacred like the Ganges, which are then used for bathing and drinking.
3. Enormous slums without organized construction, safety, water, or electricity exist on the margins of most large Indian cities. - LostRiot, on 11/07/2009, -0/+5I hope I wasn't the only person who found all these countries very obvious, I'd like to see the other end of the spectrum, i.e. Japan, Singapore the UK.
- fishwithaki, on 11/06/2009, -1/+6Most of Russia's and Canada's lands are inhabitable.
- MacBookForMe, on 11/06/2009, -0/+4Beam me to that lonely Mongolia, Jerry...
- merbrian, on 11/06/2009, -0/+4Hello, Mongolia . . .
- daviz0, on 11/06/2009, -0/+4does it make anti-social that i want to move to Greenland now
- BaphClass, on 11/06/2009, -0/+4For some reason, I now have a craving for hard-boiled eggs...
- ronin4740, on 11/06/2009, -0/+4No Japan? Isn't Japan one of the most densely populated countries in the world? How can you build this graph and omit them???
- Rhydeble, on 11/06/2009, -0/+3If my country owned Greenland, I think I would've known.
- SkinnerBox, on 11/06/2009, -0/+3It's in order by land mass. That's why no Japan, UK, etc. They don't make the list.
- PandaBearShenyu, on 11/07/2009, -0/+3I'm just saying the Indian style of commute isn't exactly safe, just like how in the U.S. everyday even more poeple die on the road while driving their cars.
- i23Photography, on 11/06/2009, -0/+3I doubt the desert area is THAT populated
- deus216, on 11/06/2009, -5/+8Greenland is not a country. It is owned by the dutch. There should be a bit more yolk on that particular infographic.

http://www.discoverasia.com.au/images/editor_image ... - Pecheckler, on 11/06/2009, -0/+3How can someone come up with this and not include Japan?
- dromni, on 11/06/2009, -0/+3The area of Brazil is wrong, actually it is 8.2 million square quilometers; that explains why its "egg" is larger than Australia.
- cport1, on 11/06/2009, -0/+3was really hoping to see Japan...

The city of Los Angeles isn't in a desert, but part of the county includes the most western part of the Mojave desert. - Autoclave, on 11/06/2009, -0/+2Japan is roughly similar in ratio as India, just a factor of 10 smaller
Japan Pop/Area: 127,288,416/374,744 SQ KM
India Pop/Area: 1,170,530,000/3,287,263 SQ KM - novicechap, on 11/06/2009, -1/+3India is more efficient than many other countries. An average train in Mumbai can take only 700 people, yet 3000 travel in it. And in the US they talk about energy independence and carpooling.
- sangjmoon, on 11/06/2009, -2/+4http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Territorial_disputes_ ...
- balgreat, on 11/07/2009, -1/+3Do you seriously believe that that's how ppl commute in India?
Every country has it's problems, like the US with it's health care. - Heath05, on 11/06/2009, -0/+2Japan is ranked 32 in population density.
Japan really isn't densely populated at all really. most of the population reside in only 3 or 4 cities, so you get the impression that it is densely populated; but country has a lot of countryside where there is barely anyone. - pirateseaborne, on 11/06/2009, -0/+2next to Korea!
