I mean, even if Georgia somehow won the land war, if Russia gets backed into a corner, those things would start launching and Georgia would be flattened.

T-80 tanks destroyed? The few T-80s Russia sent didn't show up until the end of the war. The initial Russian tanks were ancient T-62s and modernized T-72s. They did not have superior firepower or superior numbers in the first two days of the war during which the Georgians were routed.
Overall, a very strange article.
