    • warriorscot, on 04/27/2008, -6/+1You make it sound like you did not get paid for your trouble, the US got more out of WW2 than any other nation not just the money they were paid by Britain(pretty much everything they had at the time) and technology gifted or captured to the US, the US has a knack of entering wars only when there is a good chance of victory and they have gotten the most profit from sitting on the sidelines selling arms. The US does what is good for the US, they went into Europe in WWII because that the Allied forces of the time had managed to hold off Axis forces and were actually starting to strike back, to sum up they saw that the Axis army was not as formidable as it first appeared and they had lost air superiority and weren't able to operate surface vessels at sea with much success, the US smelt the blood and there was no profit in a crippled Europe allied with Russia its only potential empirical rival.

      And where is the over and over the US has caused more problems for Europe than anyone else did.

        Also, how was Digg wrong on Obama or Iraq? Last I checked, despite the last few primaries, Obama has the lead in delegates, and it'd take super delegates to give Hillary the nomination.
        And as for Iraq: while violence did go down with the surge, the actual goals were not accomplished, and the surge is unmaintainable (hence the term surge).

  • anarchytv, on 04/27/2008, -1/+3Sounds like a good idea, until you realize, all you have to do is drop a bunker buster bomb on the entrance, so the entrance collapses, sealing all the aircraft and everyone inside to their DOOM. Well, the people probably have other tunnels out, but collapsed debris pretty much shuts down a runaway. Until its cleared away and repaired, just like any other runway.
