The safety and security of all employees and those the company serves remains KBR's top priority. The company in no way condones or tolerates unethical or illegal behavior."
How many stories have we seen of Phillipinos and Bengladeshis and Indians being tricked into slavery in Iraq for US contractors? With that much smoke, there must have been a lot of fire....
Many worked on the US Proconsular Palace, .....uh I mean the US embassy.
This was the prescribed method to get cheap labor in Iraq. Tempt people to work in Jordan or Kuwait, steal their passports and ship them against their will to Iraq. They were so happy to be able to go home after a year, that they didn't even have to be paid.
Another example of our taxes at work to produce a freer world thanks to the neocon Bush Administration.
War is Peace - jodimcmullen, on 08/28/2008, -0/+6I know that they are sure as hell involved in trafficing our money out of our treasury, in my opinion.. You do know this KBR is really Haliburton, Dick Cheney's Haliburton. A crap load of their workers have been killed in Iraq and Afghanistan, probably poor souls just like these, and of course they go unreported.
- pinkpackrat, on 08/28/2008, -0/+6First Blackwater and now this. This is disgusting. The disclaimer is ridiculous-- feigned ignorance. This is like the guy who played the piano in the whorehouse and claimed he didn't know what was going on upstairs. The thought that people will stoop this low for money makes me want to puke!!!!!!!!!
- Kizilbash, on 08/28/2008, -0/+2What's that word again? Oh yeah s-l-a-v-e-r-y.
Oh and that other word is spelled m-e-r-c-e-n-a-r-y. - unlawflcombatnt, on 08/29/2008, -0/+212 of the 13 workers kidnapped by KBR (Halliburton) were later executed.
KBR should be on trial for murder.
