Jury Acquits Former Marine Accused Of Killing Iraquis
miamiherald.com — A former Marine accused of killing unarmed Iraqi detainees was acquitted of voluntary manslaughter Thursday in a first-of-its-kind federal trial. The jury took six hours to find Jose Luis Nazario Jr. not guilty of charges that he killed or caused others to kill four unarmed detainees on Nov. 9, 2004, in Fallujah, Iraq...

The story of his not guilty verdict? Digg runs and hides.
Pretty much says it all about this "community". - rebrad, on 08/29/2008, -3/+15This will never make it to the front page unless zaibatsu or one of his ilk can find a twisted huffington post fiction piece. Then it would only cry out over a mass murder set free. Most of the people on Digg are just just a products of education reforms put forth by Ayers and other Friends of Obama.
- GWBExplosives, on 08/29/2008, -10/+5Being acquitted of murder does not mean that the defendant is Innocent. It means that the prosecution has not presented enough evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the defendant is guilty. Huge difference there.
- GWBExplosives, on 08/29/2008, -6/+0Dugg down for stating an obvious truth. Gotta love all the unquestioning "patriots" out there. LOL
- BadgerDigger, on 09/04/2008, -0/+1What ever happened to Innocent until proven guilty?

If your going to promote letting a murderer get away scott-free, at least spell the ethnic group he's slaughtered correctly.
Please and Thank you.- bluto36, on 08/29/2008, -2/+9please, your an idiot, he should have never been brought up on these trumped up ***** charges in the first place. the only place he was a murderer was in your twisted anti-american dreams.
- A11YND, on 08/29/2008, -3/+1I'm not American.

Don't be a dick about spelling if you're just as stupid. - JohnReb, on 08/29/2008, -1/+7*scot-free
I always figured a person who can't manage to do the research to get their spelling right but complains of others spelling, probably hasn't gotten much of the rest of their research right either. - novaculus, on 08/29/2008, -1/+3Mea culpa on the spelling error, but I don't think it prevents understanding the title of the story, or detracts from its significance.

- johndavidjack, on 08/29/2008, -2/+9Yeah, once and awhile we have a story that can clear a name of one of our soldiers, to try to change people's view that all soldiers aren't merciless baby/civilian killers, but it never seems to hit the front page.
But everytime a puppy gets throw off a cliff (horrible), or a serviceman tortures someone, it's big news...
Sigh, dugg....- card51short, on 08/29/2008, -7/+3aren't soldiers supposed to not do crimes?
Why would there be stories about soldiers NOT doing crimes?
If they do crimes, it should be big news.- johndavidjack, on 08/29/2008, -1/+7I meant "clearing" soldiers of being accused of decrepit crimes.
If you'll notice, for the most part, the positives(yeah, I said that) of Iraq aren't reaching the MSM. I realize its partly because of the election, but as I said, when a soldier does something wrong, it makes the news, as it should. I don't know if this Marine's accusations made the MSM, but I think it would be respectful to even put a 20 second blip on a MSM station to restore the guy's as well as our armed forces honor a little.
