spiegel.de — More and more terrible details are emerging in the Amstetten, Austria incest case that has shaken the world. According to information obtained by SPIEGEL, Elisabeth Fritzl's father Josef repeatedly raped her in front of the children they had together.

One of the things that separates us from people like him is that we don't treat people like things. He has rights, even if he is a monster, and violating those rights is wrong.             But... if someone mentions the phrase "short eyes" when he's introduced into general population, what can you do if someone stabs him?

            This bears repeating. This person needs to be removed from society, but anything amounting to torture is wholly inappropriate, regardless of how much torturing he did.

Then my second thought went to the mother of the kids that was living there for 23 years being raped by this guy over and over again. It's been more than a week now since I first heard of the tragedy and I have never asked myself what should be done to the perp.

      Is it weird of me to not think of this? Or is it you guys that are weird?

      We have a quite good justice system (BTW: no death-penalty), I don't think you can blame "the system" for what happened - this was just one sick *****. So what are we supposed to do? Put a police officer in every house to prevent such terrible things in the future?

As someone who was sexually abused I can tell you that the more a victim struggles, the more of an adrenaline rush the rapist gets and the harder he'll sodomize you. People like him are mentally ill because they really believe that what they're doing is not wrong at all. Although I was also bound for a few hours, I was never locked up in a basement like that, for so long. It's really awful what his own daughter has gone through.
