- inactive, on 05/05/2008, -9/+70Again, I usually put a fairly high value on all life, but I'd be (very) willing to be his executioner if nobody else wants to.
- lukak, on 05/05/2008, -2/+48disagreement from me. Lock the ***** up in a 1 x 1 meter cell with one meal per day and no toilet for the rest of his life. Death is too easy.
- blaze03, on 05/05/2008, -0/+45As a 23 year old, this whole thing still blows my mind. I just can't comprehend how horrible it is. I'm just thinking to myself - at every point/phase of my lifetime, every single memory I have, no matter how long ago it seems - this woman was trapped in that basement.
This man doesn't deserve the right to die by quick execution. He deserves to be locked up in a 5'x5' cell in solitary confinement until the day he dies. - poptartrevival, on 05/05/2008, -2/+33I think when you've leashed your daughter to a toilet for awhile, then raped her in front of your incestuous offspring, you're not too worried about being frowned upon in the presence of your peers.
- poptartrevival, on 05/05/2008, -2/+27They say the worst crime you can be convicted of in Austria is rape, but his sentence won't even match how long he kept his daughter down in that hole. ***** lame.
- DickyT83, on 05/05/2008, -8/+32Just castrate him already!!
- mickstephenson, on 05/05/2008, -0/+20Jesus that was one of the most embarrassing things I've ever seen. You best just make a new account
- KSUdesigner, on 05/05/2008, -5/+23I'd rather see this guy spend his remaining days locked up in a dirty cell. Death is too easy for this sick *****.
- DrunkMc, on 05/05/2008, -8/+23I'll be your backup incase you get sick. We wouldn't want this to be postponed.
- rompom7, on 05/05/2008, -1/+13Thanks for that tidbit of off topic information. Heres another pointless fact: Josef Fritzl isn't Australian.
- godzillaWax, on 05/05/2008, -2/+14That's not nearly good enough.
- Kythas, on 05/05/2008, -3/+13He's not mad, he's quite sane. I'd say he's evil.
There's a huge difference. - nonymous666, on 05/05/2008, -0/+9oh my.
- earthforce1, on 05/05/2008, -1/+10Poetic justice would see him repeatedly gang-raped in prison.
- veloscaper, on 05/05/2008, -2/+11I don't think even degenerate prison pirates want to plunder him. Most likely he will be gutted at the first opportunity.
- eimersaufen, on 05/05/2008, -0/+8WTF? Can you even find our country on a map without searching in Wikipedia first?
We have a quite good justice system (BTW: no death-penalty), I don't think you can blame "the system" for what happened - this was just one sick *****. So what are we supposed to do? Put a police officer in every house to prevent such terrible things in the future?
Greetings from Austria - nonymous666, on 05/05/2008, -2/+10quit with the Australia troll bait.
- Erythroxylum, on 05/05/2008, -0/+8Listen, I realise you're just one of those wet little ***** who occupies their time wanking around on a child's toy (skateboard) and occasionally manages to accomplish a 'trick' which doesn't involve crushing your puny genitals on some sort of railing, but even being a terminally stupid is no excuse for not knowing that Austria is in Europe.
Now look what you made me do - reply to a skatewank. Now I'm going to have to bathe in Dichloro-Diphenyl-Trichloroethane to get this taint off me. - NoCt1, on 05/05/2008, -1/+8True.. I dont know about europe but States side.. People dont take kindly to rapists and child molesters. Here they would probly keep him seperate from general public and hed be in isolation.. Except for those nights where Bubba and Felix visit him.
- inactive, on 05/05/2008, -1/+7There is no understanding. The reason this kind of thing gets so much coverage is because people want to hear about it. Why? Because the thought process behind such actions are so alien to the average person that you simply cannot wrap your mind around it. I doubt that a team of professionals studying this man will shed any light on why he did it.
- rmmcclay, on 05/05/2008, -3/+9It's interesting to see so many intent on perpetuation of violence by way of punishment. The man is completely mad and should be imprisoned. You can't reverse what he did by torturing him. People's emotional energies should be directed to helping his family in positive ways.
...a silly perspective on this perhaps...
Retalitative revenge is a bloodsport relished by the masses it seems. - Rotzooi, on 05/05/2008, -2/+8I moved here to rid myself of a government that can kill its own people yet won't allow me to end my own life in case of immense and prolonged suffering.
So, no, Europe doesn't need to move back to the dark ages and join some backwards nations and the United States in enforcing the death penalty. - TheHim, on 05/05/2008, -1/+7And Josef isn't in Australia.
- artish, on 05/05/2008, -0/+6Everytime I read news from this case, I get a little more depressed....
- Schrodinger2, on 05/05/2008, -2/+8No
- Hawkeye1980, on 05/05/2008, -0/+6Austria = Europe. Quit the comments about Australia already...
- inactive, on 05/05/2008, -1/+6Stop feeding the trolls. Digg them down and let them think they're being lulzy.
- Shadow120, on 05/05/2008, -1/+6Yeah, he'd be out in 3!
- nonymous666, on 05/05/2008, -0/+5Have you not read anything about this? It was general consensus that she had run away from home. The husband convinced the wife that she was living in a cult.
- poptartrevival, on 05/05/2008, -1/+6No, sir! Down into the hole you go!
- Tuto, on 05/05/2008, -6/+11And the father of the year award goes to....
- mickstephenson, on 05/05/2008, -0/+5In the words of NIko Bellic "That seems to be purely an American phenomenon"
- stellandfly, on 05/05/2008, -1/+6They should lock that bastard in the basement prison he constructed and forget about him. I can't think of a more fitting punishment. Execution is out of the question. He needs to be made to suffer for the remainder of his pathetic existence.
- veloscaper, on 05/05/2008, -1/+6I think the cell they give him will still be nicer than the one he built.
I'm all for the stabbing chair, once the authorities have finished their investigation and the family is ready.
ps. why stabbing? cuz stabbing don't cost a damn thing! - NoCt1, on 05/05/2008, -0/+5Wait, I want in on this action! What If we draw straws Or we can find something the three of us can do? Firing Squad?
- Eskapismus, on 05/05/2008, -0/+5My the first thoughts went to the 6 kids - 2 of em haven't seen daylight in their 18 year life and one of the two is in a very serious condition. Then my second thought went to the mother of the kids that was living there for 23 years being raped by this guy over and over again. It's been more than a week now since I first heard of the tragedy and I have never asked myself what should be done to the perp.
Is it weird of me to not think of this? Or is it you guys that are weird?
Is the punishment to the guy all that matters to you guys? - priegog, on 05/05/2008, -0/+4Na, you're not weird. I have been worriying more about the kids' future too. I don't think most of them will ever be able to live a normal life. Maybe just try to rehabilitate them as much as the psichyatrists can and then give them a piece of land to work on, far away from society, much like they did with the precogs in the Minority Report movie.
- manstein01, on 05/05/2008, -1/+5Tie both his legs to trees...and them cut them down. This guy deserves even worse than that...
- Jan33, on 05/05/2008, -2/+6Okay - the concensus here @ digg seems to be that we put him in jail to be raped, then castrate him, staple the loose nuts to his forehead, tie both his legs to trees, cut them trees down, then sweep all the little bits that are left into a small pile and jump on it while screaming something about technology and human rights.
- J4k3, on 05/05/2008, -0/+4Ironically you may be right. As someone who was sexually abused I can tell you that the more a victim struggles, the more of an adrenaline rush the rapist gets and the harder he'll sodomize you. People like him are mentally ill because they really believe that what they're doing is not wrong at all. Although I was also bound for a few hours, I was never locked up in a basement like that, for so long. It's really awful what his own daughter has gone through.
- ladyarcher85, on 05/05/2008, -0/+4Death would be too easy on this sorry excuse for a human being. I wish him a very long life spent in a tiny cell with no windows and a tiny door and daily rounds of excruciating torture.
- Yamoth, on 05/05/2008, -1/+5I am probably one of the biggest protester of capital punishment but for this case. I can't see anything, not even a death sentence could even come close to the crime this man committed.
- NoCt1, on 05/05/2008, -0/+4@lyph5
And If it was you that was locked in the cellar forced to take Old guy Meat whenever? You would probably think differently. - jacenat, on 05/05/2008, -0/+4wth?
and that is why? - Vandessa, on 05/05/2008, -1/+4So our church compound of polygamy and pedophilia rates where exactly?
- inactive, on 05/05/2008, -1/+4Europeans, inhabitants of the country Europe.
- Eskapismus, on 05/05/2008, -0/+3good for you.. now shut up and let the people with experience talk.
- inactive, on 05/05/2008, -1/+4what good will we (as a community, the world) get ouf of that?
Just put in him prison just like the law precises. That's all. And treat him respectfully just like the law precises. There are rules written down to deal with these cases, and we shouldnt drift away from these rules because of one nutcase, because later on, some innocent man will suffer from it. - joebrender, on 05/05/2008, -1/+4Even in Texas, they don't execute people for Rape.
