I will admit the current system is crappy, but as a military veteran, I know (and anyone who has had to deal with the VA knows) government-ran health care is far worse.- dennisrhidalgo, on 06/16/2008, -0/+1Instead of just simply repeating the neo-liberal dogma that everything-government is evil, we should talk about accountability and responsible government and management.
- diablc, on 06/16/2008, -0/+1Management is exactly what i am talking about and the lack of the government to be able to do that effectively. Especially in health care... My example was the VA hospital... ask anyone who has ever dealt with it, and they will say that system is horrible. I have been paying for my own health care, rather than dealing with the VA (which is free).
I don't think that everything in the government is evil, but after seeing the wastefulness of the military, i understand why other entities in the government don't work efficiently either.
