- inactive, on 03/04/2008, -3/+171hahahaha, I always thought is was legal there. I guess it was a good thing I did not get caught when I was there last.
- kemp34, on 03/04/2008, -3/+130Marijuana prohibition is just plain stupid.
- inactive, on 03/04/2008, -4/+95Dreadlocks - check
Back catalogue of Bob Marley - check
Passport - check - rpi22, on 03/04/2008, -6/+88I know where I'm going for spring break!
- MakiMaki, on 03/04/2008, -8/+83Whoa.... it's not yet legal?
- NikoKun, on 03/04/2008, -1/+65Well I sure hope they do... They shouldn't let the US boss them around!
Especially on issues where they can have smarter policies than ours. Ending Marijuana prohibition is a Smart policy! - syroncoda, on 03/04/2008, -2/+64its about time. legalizing it will do wonders for its tourism based economy. it makes financial sense.
- inactive, on 03/04/2008, -2/+49it's part of my religion too.
- OverkillTASF, on 03/04/2008, -0/+43Except he can't remember if it was 2 or 3 years ago.
- h0ser, on 03/04/2008, -10/+51i love marijunaa
- StanleyKoolPrik, on 03/04/2008, -2/+42In related news, Germany is considering legalizing lederhosen.
- thechr0nic, on 03/04/2008, -0/+38call be biased, but I think anything aside from legalization, is a mistake.
I seem to remember prohibition not going so well the first time around.
on a side note, I got married in Jamaica about 2 or 3 years ago. The taxi driver was kind enough to stop to see the Rasta-man on the way to the resort. We had so much weed and hash that we had to throw away some of it because we couldn't finish it all in a week (didn't feel like smuggling the rest home on the airlplane), and I had friends and family helping me :)
It was not legal at the time (persay) you couldnt just smoke it out the the open, but if you kept it to yourself and did it in private, they never bother you. - Premier, on 03/04/2008, -1/+34This guy seen laughing uncontrollably

/not a rick roll - inactive, on 03/04/2008, -2/+32If you can't get pot in Jamaica you're retarded. It's EVERYWHERE. From the baggage handler when I stepped off the plane to even the tennis pro at my hotel was offering me it - AND I WAS A TEENAGER. Alert to authorities - POT IS EVERYWHERE and the only people in jail must have been trying to sell it to a judge...IN THE COURTROOM ...DURING A TRIAL...WHILE UNDER OATH....WHILE SOME "MORAL" TV REPORTER WAS PRESENT.
- bevans, on 03/04/2008, -0/+28In other news, leerayIG88 is an idiot
- aidave, on 03/04/2008, -5/+31Who cares. I hope every country legalizes cannabis, and the US "blockades" them all. America, land of the caged.
- CrimsonFate, on 03/04/2008, -4/+30The Irish consider legalizing potatos.
Italians consider legaling pasta.
Jews consider legalizing potato pancakes.
Bush considers legalizing oil. - inactive, on 03/04/2008, -1/+25Dugg..just cause its Jamaica.
For the one who said crime would increase? Shut the ***** up..you dont know *****, get educated and come back with a plausible argument. - robbob, on 03/04/2008, -0/+22This would make it safer for tourists, who expect it to be part of the scenery, able to score without dealing with shady thugs.
Also, imagine a tour of a harvesting field---I'd buy that for a dollar! - BlacklabelSAR, on 03/04/2008, -3/+25And next the ***** USA will threaten Jamaica with some sort of loss of aid or *****. Land of the Free...what a ***** lie.
- repmekevets, on 03/04/2008, -0/+22haha, "pretty high".
- fsamuels, on 03/04/2008, -0/+21Concerning a previous legalization law... (from the article) "But lawmakers never acted, saying legalisation might entail loss of their country's US anti-drug certification. Countries that lose it face economic sanctions."
That is the saddest part of the article to me. Why are we (the US) imposing our terrible policies on the rest of the world and why are we financially penalizing countries for decisions we should have no say over? That is just horrible. - skateboard1, on 03/04/2008, -12/+33Lucky Pasta, I mean Rastafarians!
- Ansible, on 03/04/2008, -3/+23cue the US withholding aid or imposing sactions or whatever...
- Neoanarchist, on 03/04/2008, -0/+20Lmao thats the first thing I thought.
- BahJayJay, on 03/04/2008, -0/+19Did you say something intentionally stupid in order to get off on someone insulting you?
- aidave, on 03/04/2008, -0/+19Technically, "crime" would go down if legalized. You fail.
- dudefaceguyman, on 03/04/2008, -2/+20I read this thinking they legalized cannibalism.
Pot makes soooo much more sense. - chadillak, on 03/04/2008, -3/+21It's not legal there yet because Jamaica considers legalising cannabis... then forgets what they were considering.
- geekchic, on 03/04/2008, -3/+20The USA will probably do a "cuba" and blockade the country in retailiation for this
- evilpoptart, on 03/04/2008, -0/+16man, it might as well be legal there it almost falls out of the sky.
- Neoanarchist, on 03/04/2008, -1/+17amen. but learn to spell.
- aidave, on 03/04/2008, -1/+16Yeah, cuz its such a great thing America has done for the world, a war on plants. Couldn't be anything implausible about that.
*head explodes* - Nbonez5, on 03/04/2008, -1/+16IF I WASN'T JAMAICAN, WHY WOULD I BE WEARING THIS HAT?
- coyote1284, on 03/05/2008, -0/+14Do you know how to tell a drunk driver from a stoned driver?
The drunk driver will see the stop sign, aim to hit it, and keep driving, if possible.
The stoned driver will see the stop sign, stop 10 yards from the stop line, and wait for the sign to turn green. - OaklandNative, on 03/04/2008, -3/+17Rastafarian is pretty high on my list of silly religions.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rastafarian_Movement
At least they're non-violent stoners though. Yay for any religion that's consists of a bunch of non-violent stoners. - tbunreal, on 03/04/2008, -2/+16is sparta!
- bthug7, on 03/04/2008, -1/+14Ha your wedding sounded successful
- ridgelawrence, on 03/04/2008, -1/+13Last summer when I got off the plane in Jamaica, I got asked 2 times IN THE AIRPORT to buy weed. Then when we got in the bus the bus driver offered to smoke us out.
It's basically legal, ill say.
If you get caught, just bribe the police officer with like 100$, they will most likely take it. - DeadBabyFloat, on 03/04/2008, -0/+12Don't let your wife catch you saying 2 OR 3 years...
- inactive, on 03/04/2008, -0/+11You can distil it though.
- chewties, on 03/04/2008, -1/+12fyi, shrooms are already legal in jamaica
- onionlayer, on 03/04/2008, -1/+12Dugg for my daily legalize marijuana digg.
- thetanman, on 03/05/2008, -0/+11Yeah if you've ever been it's pretty difficult to tell it's illegal.

- fitqueenb, on 03/04/2008, -2/+11figure it is no worse than alcohol....
- RpgActioN, on 03/04/2008, -1/+10Jamaica's alright...if you wanna get in the middle of a knife fight.
/nofx - orph3us, on 03/05/2008, -0/+9Not legal because of pressure from the US!! We are so cool... we threaten anybody that legalizes it with economic sanctions.... what great bullys we are
