Jail inmate dies after complaining about an infection.
star-telegram.com — The Dallas woman, 35, was in jail because of unpaid traffic tickets. Ten days after being booked, she was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital, where she died within hours.

Neglectful, clueless or cruel jailers in effect gave her a death sentence for traffic violations.
These staph infections are endemic inside county jails, where conditions are deplorably unsanitary.
I'm not speaking theoretically here: I got staph infection while doing a year in the Los Angeles County Jail. Deputies wouldn't let me see a doctor until my foot was swollen to twice its normal size, with blood and fluids gushing out of it.
