Jail employee accused of stealing inmates' personal funds

chicagotribune.com — A former Cook County Jail supervisor was charged with pilfering more than $370,000 from inmates' commissary accounts, authorities said. Elizabeth Hudson, 61, of the 9100 block of South Woodlawn Avenue in Chicago, faces three felony counts of theft and official misconduct. A judge on Friday ordered bail set at $50,000 cash.

    Maybe that was the idea.. maybe she didn't want to lose her shirt and decided to do time!
