Israeli account of Shatila at Cannes watch!
channel4.com — In competition at this year's Cannes Film Festival is an animated account of the 1982 massacre of Palestinians in the Sabra and Shatila refugee camps in Beirut. The slaughter of civilians by militiamen brought international condemnation on the Israeli army, which stood by and let it happen. As our arts correspondent Nick Glass reports,

Most people hearing about the group called 'the martyrs of sabra and shatila' think they refer to some old mythical event while they talk about events that happened only some years ago. (not that I agree with the actions those guy take).

When you get to the 2nd to the last picture, do you think this is what Condoleeza Rice was referring to when she told us to hang on, and said it was necessary, the cries of their pain and our conscience were "The birth pangs of a new Lebanon?" I sure hope they got those gosh darn "Terrorists"!
