It has formally and legally committed to ending such activity. But the Israeli intention is to whole on to most of the West Bank forever, particularly the Jordan River Valley. To this end, it supports, funds, enables settlements while publicly lying about its real intentions. Adding insult to injury, it calls all Palestinian construction illegal and bulldozers Palestinian construction on the Palestinians' own land.
