So by definition, the pirates aren't hardline Islamists. The question, whether or not this new regime really is or not. Many of these groups just use Islam as an excuse for their crimes. As of 2002 they had over 1 million troops. In the "lmao" navy they have russian ships and u boats. The country is home to about 1.1 billion people and isn't quite the pushover some people make it out to be. And no, I am not Indian.

I wonder if this is one of those situations such as with the Taliban with the Afghan heroin. When the Taliban said that they were abolishing the heroin trade all the gullible Westerners believed them. When the Islamists say they are going to fight the pirates, all the gullible Westerners believe them.
Here's what I bet will happen. The piracy will "stop" for a while until the Islamists have soaked up all the glory, then it will quietly be allowed to begin again.

Once this happens we have yet another country under the rule of Islam. Expect Sharia law, stoning of women and all the other nice things this brings, like training camps for islamists. However good things might come from it. The Arab world and the African world might to to war against each other, this would greatly strengthen the Western world.
Why would they go to war you say? Well, the Arab Muslim community hates Black Muslims. In their eyes African people should be slaves. Mainly because Muhammed had slaves and Muhammed is their "Perfect Man".
