- anarchytv, on 08/25/2008, -1/+8George Bush: let them drink Coke!
- MercyPolitics, on 08/25/2008, -1/+6Iraq has become a giant black hole for the US tax payers' money. A reverse ATM machine....unless you are Halliburton or Blackwater. This is a thing a beauty as far as business plan: You have your friends of the military-industrial complex making loads of cash when you break it down. Then you pretend to be concerned about the well being of Iraqis ....but of course you don't use the money to do any of the reconstruction. What a brilliant business scheme. This is just pathetic, the Bush administration should be held accountable and put on trial in La Hague.

- britblogger, on 08/24/2008, -4/+7I'm betting they'll get their water sooner than those in New Orleans did after Katrina.

It would seem that we've already spent plenty to rebuild the water infrastructure that we destroyed. But it would also seem that the Republicans' plans have proven incompetent as usual.
- echriswa, on 08/25/2008, -1/+0I believe what they do not tell you is the U.S. is holding that money under the U.N. sanctions!
A little insurance that we'll get permanent bases in their country. If we don't get permanent bases then we 'lost' the war.
